Alright so at first I was kinda debating on whether or not to get it because of all of the mixed reviews but I'm glad I got it because it's perfect for what I needed. I'm a free lance illustrator and besides working at home, I go to conventiontions quite frequently and I needed something that would help the whole set up process go by faster and opted for this and honestly, I'm glad I did. This product was very nicely made and it came on time and with everything it said it would have. It was easier to put it all away then install it because my main problem was the horizontal bar. The two bars are suppose to stick together and click, but to make it do that I had to go out of my way and beyond to make it happen, aka, ask for help. And something else was the stability of it all. I seemed to have a hard time getting it to find an equilibrium with the height and even if it was just a bit off on one of the legs, it would balance on 2 out of the 3 stilts causing it to slightly wobble, not by much though. That could be an inconvenience for artists in the artist alley with cramped spaces but it's just something to be careful and watchful about. Overall I needed to use the sandbags for weight distribution. What I hung on my photo set were prints made out of light cardstock and held up with tape so over all it was very light and didn't make it wobble. I wouldn't recommend this product for people who have to be setting up and breaking down on uneven terrain or even put multiple heavy backdrops on it, I feel like it would leave a bit of a drop on the horizontal beam. The simpler you keep this product the better it works. But honestly for what you pay for, it still works as it says it does, I just think people expect this to work like a set of $100 + dollars where there are obvious differences. Overall I was satisfied with my product, but for others reading this make sure it works for what you're interested in doing.

You get what you pay for usually. With this product, for the awesome low price, I feel as though the value is higher than what I expected for the price. With that said, I do notice the price showing in lower quality. This stand is working well for what we bought it for, and we are pleased. It has been nice to try out this stand with background concept in our family photography before investing more. I used it for a session of yearbook pictures for a small campus. We took it to the church’s fall festival for a photobooth area. It is easy to put up and take down. It is lightweight and convenient in the bag. The long bar does sag a bit. We have a microfiber cloth backdrop on it. If I were doing some really professional portraits that needed to be nice, I would want to invest in a more expensive unit that wouldn’t bend. It definitely does the trick, though, and gets the job done. I do love the convenience of it, and I am happy we got it.

Very easy to assemble. Light weight. The only thing I didn’t like was how it’s not very sturdy in the middle if it’s extended to 10ft. Not sure how that could be better. I did a lot of reading on all the products and reviews and it was a toss up between this one and another brand. I choose this one only because is has more things with it and that it also can adjust higher. I was planning on ordering a few of the items it came with anyway so it was a win for me. We’re using it for a wedding so it won’t be a lot on it. Just wish there was something to make the middle stronger maybe adding a third pole. Idk if that would be hard to the photographers to use with a back drop but it would make the middle from sagging. Maybe even still add a third pole but make the middle bar stick out someway so the back drop cloth won’t interfere with having the pole line in the middle of it. Anyway I do recommend this product.

UPDATE: January 4, 2019 -- This is my final update. I initially rated the product low (2 stars) due to a manufacturing defect. I worked with Julius Worldmart Customer Service (KimOutlet) to resolve the issue. Now my rating is 4 stars because the problem has been resolved with KimOutlet sending me a replacement crossbar that works fine. NOTE: My rating could have been 5 stars if there were no problems because the overall quality and value for the price is very good. Lastly, the Customer Support via email was excellent. The KimOutlet rep was very quick responding even during the New Year holiday. The rep was also incredibly personable in the email exchange -- just about the nicest person to chat with regarding a manufacturing defect - LOL. Keep in mind that both customer support people (Amazon and KimOutlet) let me know that I could have returned the entire package, but I chose to get the crossbar part replaced instead. I made this choice because I thought it would save time and effort. Packing up all the parts and pieces and then shipping it back would have been a hassle. This required me to contact KimOutlet via email (contact info provided in product package). It turns out that getting the replacement crossbar part was fairly quick even over the New Year holiday. Happy New Year and Good Shopping! +++++++++++++++ UPDATE: December 24, 2018 - Julius Worldmart Customer Service replied in an email that they will gladly ship a set of new crossbars. Shipping is 4 - 7 business days. Optionally, I could return the entire kit to Amazon and then repurchase a new one. Happy Holidays and good shopping! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ INITIAL REVIEW: I chose the product over other products of similar cost and features because of the adjustable width crossbar. Other products have crossbars that are adjustable, but not continuously adjustable. In other words, the Julius crossbar can slide in and out continuously while other products use pole segments that are bolted together (width adjustable by taking out individual pieces). The idea is that this makes precise width adjustment quick and easy. The crossbar is assembled by inserting Pole (B) into Pole (A). Each of these poles are actually made of two tubes that slide within each other, thereby enabling the continuous width adjustment. Good idea, however, there was a problem with the kit that I received. DESCRIPTION OF MANUFACTURING DEFECT -- The two poles of the crossbar do not join together due to a manufacturing defect. See attached pictures. >> GAP IN JOINING PIECE OF POLE (B) MAKES DIAMETER TOO BIG TO FIT INSIDE POLE (A). >> POLE (A) DOES NOT FIT TOGETHER WITH POLE (B). >> WITH THE HELP OF A VISE, SILICON SPRAY AND A LOT OF BRUTE FORCE, THE POLES MAY EVENTUALLY BE PUSHED TOGETHER. >> IN ORDER TO PRY THE POLES APART FOR STORAGE AND TRANSPORT, A VISE AND A LOT OF BRUTE FORCE IS REQUIRED. >> THIS IS NOT AS STATED, "Assembles and Disassembles Quickly." On a positive note, the instruction booklet came with a business card attached and contact info for Julius Worldmart Customer Service. I have sent off a detailed email today. I read a couple of the reviews that said it was cheap made. It was easy to put together without directions, but it does come with directions that were easy to read an understand. It seems sturdy enough. We hung the backdrop right up and everything was good. It was exactly the measurements it said. Easy to take down. It came with a carrying bag. Everything fit exceptionally great plus I had a little extra room to store my back drop. If you need something with decent price and quality I would buy this again.

The item arrived blazingly fast and took just a few minutes to set up - no tools needed. The two support stands are tripods, so they pop right up and height is fully adjustable. The crossbar consists of two rods that easily snap together. The crossbar then quickly attaches to the tripod tops with wingnuts that ship already attached to the tops of each tripod. Honestly, it doesn't get much easier than that! Both the tripods and crossbar are powder coated black metal, very sturdy - kind of shockingly good for the price. A black nylon carrying bag is also included. I'm using the backdrop stand with a lightweight fabric backdrop and heavy-duty plastic clamps (cloth & clamps purchased separately on amazon). Instant photography background - perfect for my purposes and a pretty stellar value. Total cost under $50 for (1) Background Stand Support System, (2) cloth backdrop and (3) clamps. All smiles. Zero complaints.

Works exactly as intended. Comes with instructions that are easy to follow and you can put up with one person. After reading other reviews I was afraid that it would be flimsy or hard to put together but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s nice that it comes with sandbag holders but since they weren’t pre filled I didn’t use them. For my purposes of using as a cake table backdrop they weren’t necessary. I also hung some weighted ornaments off of the stand and it didn’t impact the sturdiness or cause the product to lean. Would recommend as it’s a good value for the price. Additionally I looked at 3 or 4 other options before purchasing this one and I feel that this was not only the best price for what was included but it also had the best most descriptive reviews. Would recommend and will update review if anything changes after multiple uses.

It works as intended but not an ideal system for a traveling photog. If you leave it at home or in your studio, it’ll decrease the probability of damage and thus, work as expected. You get what you pay for and it’s cheap.. Plastic hardware, low-quality construction and the actual telescoping pole that holds the stand may bend in the middle due to a design flaw. This by no means was a deterrent in the end result but more of a conscious approach when setting up/breaking down. I would not recommend using this for say an 8-9ft seamless backdrop or anything heavy but for smaller stuff, this’ll do the job as well as any other system 3-4x the price. I’d recommend this system for anyone wanting to dive into studio work. It’ll pay for itself after the first shoot or two. If you find yourself booking more gigs, I’d invest in a more robust system with higher-grade hardware and better design but if you’re in a pinch, the end result with this system will not be discernable from anything else. Only the experience and probability of damage will differ. You as a consumer will know the pros & cons of cheaper equipment but do know, construction of items that are meant to be stationary shouldn’t be a huge deal. Only if you expect to put a lot of weight on it or work in a setting that has a lot of movement. (liability)

La verdad excelente producto tenia otros sicloramas más económicos por la urgencia en ese entonces, pero este producto supera a los otros, ya que los tubos de las bases son más gruesos, desde ahí empieza la calidad, son más anchos o sea 3 mts eso es muy bueno, no los he usado en el.exterior pero si fuera el caso tienen dos bolsas de arena eso ayudará mucho para la estabilidad en exteriores por el posible viento

Arrived quickly but one of the joining bolts in the bar was already broken and it fell apart on first use making the top bar (and therefor whole stand) unusable. It is a very thin and flimsy backdrop stand. Wouldn't recommend.
