I mainly use these for making & modifying fishing lures. I've probably used these over a hundred times now on steel wire without issue. I also have the plyers that are both rounded noses and these just seem to work better for various applications.

I bought these for my company. We make several small products that require forming loops on the end of #22 AWG bus wire. We had been using small round nose pliers for this, but a little while ago I got involved in a discussion about the shortcomings of the pliers they were using.
