Tree trimmer review
Works easily and well

Good for vines
Works well on small to medium blackberry vines; which is why I purchased it. Mechanism is good as well. Don't believe it would work well for branches more then twig thickness or vines more than 1/2" thick.

This was so handy and useful - now just need the same with a longer reach.
I actually bought this item 3 years ago and it's been a handy tool for clipping weeds that manage to grow and gain some height behind the lattice work under my deck and other hard to reach areas like between fence boards, and for some fine tuning of stray fronds after trimming shrubs with the big, awkward hedge trimmer. Today I found that my 2-foot version was no longer reaching the tops of some very tall shrubs and immediately came looking for a longer version. I liked this brand enough that I'm not interested in evaluating any other brands. So obviously this had the quality, ease of use and sharpness that I expected. Figured as long as I was coming back for the equivalent of a repeat purchase I should also take the time to finally do my review.

Works great!
Perfect for that little extra reach.

Works great for deadheading roses and general pruning
Less blood, more deadheading! Oh, that sounds bad, but these are great for deadheading and pruning roses- you can reach into the plant without getting snagged by thorns. Also great for pruning just about anything up to 1/4โ thick with less stretching and bending. A real back (and blood) saver! Seem to be robust enough but I wouldnโt try to cut very thick or hard woods.

Tool works well! But actual "reach" length is 20", not 24".
Feels comfy in my hand, works just as described! Whole tool feels completely solid. The only "wiggle/rattle" is where the silver tube slides into the front of the handle. And there has to be SOME give there to allow the 90D rotation of the cutting head. One error in product description: Length is shown as 24" from tip of cutting jaw to front of trigger handle. BUT as you can see in my pic, that distance is actually 20". The 24" is measured from tip to tip of the whole tool (actually 24.5"). The reach of this pruner is 17" longer than a standard pruning shears!! Good news for me is that a 17" extension was all I actually needed! Tool jaw size seems to be an issue in some of the reviews. The jaws seemed appropriately/properly sized for the tool IMHO. Plenty big enough for me. BUT you can take a look at my other 2 pics and decide for yourself. UPDATE: I found that the 2 maroon colored plastic plant "grabber" pieces on the jaws got in the way OFTEN when I was stretching to reach a stem to cut. In addition to preventing me from slipping the jaws into a skinny spot for a clean cut, those extra wide jaws would often hit a branch and ROTATE the cutting head! So I removed them! See the pic for how it looks now! Definitely works MUCH better for me. I also found that the shears rotated TOO freely. As I would push my shears head thru the vegetation to reach my target, the shear head would often rotate on me. Doesn't happen as often with the plastic pieces removed, but still happens too often. But I have found that I never need to rotate the head relative to the handle. Simply rotating the whole shears with my hand was intuitive and completely effective. So I taped the tube to the handle with electrical tape so it couldn't rotate on its own. I'd give this tool 5 stars if it had COME this way in the first place! Excellent.

Prunt Tree Trimmer
Love this trimmer for my garden. This Prunrt Tree Trimmer t is perfect for triming my Wisteria plants. I use it for the vines that continue to grow during the summer months. It works perfect .When you cut the vine, just keep the cutter closed and it holds onto the vine so it won't fall. It'd great. I bought the 2 foot trimmer and now I'm thoinking about ordering the 4 foot trimmer. Just remember to order Prunrt Tree Trimmer product. I don't use it on real thick branches. Don't think it was meant for thick branches. It works perfect for vining plants.

Works
Very light weight. It would be nice if the blade rotated more freely. I wanted a longer one as well. I bought the ARS LA-180ZR203 4-to-7-Feet Long Reach Pruner, made in Japan. Yes.....more expensive, but I love the quality. I will use the Print 2' one to cut roses........
