Good pots
I was told by store employee to cut bottom out of the peat moss pots in stores. They take forever to decompose. Suggested we buy the real cow pots online. I ordered 3 - 12 pack boxes. All arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I planted my starts and they absorb water nicely. All is going well

Looks promising. Got to be better than Peet pots.
I am excited to see how these perform. Saw this product on Shark Tank and was surprised that none of the sharks bought in. I have plants started and will update later.

CowPots pots for seed planting
These little pots are a very handy size for planting seeds for spring planting. You do need to be certain not to plant your seeds too soon, or you'll need to put the entire pot in a larger size pot while waiting for the weather to warm up enough to plant your seedling. The roots will grow right through the pot as your seedling gets larger, and the pot disintegrates in the soil once you've given your plant its final home in the ground or in a container. They are a very handy little pot. Recommended.

Saw the advertisement on Shark Tank so purchased a set to try out. Got my seeds in them now. Should work just fine.

Prefer the round ones
I used cow pots for the first time this year. I did not start seeds in them but transplanted seedlings I’d started to them when they had their first sets of true leaves. I kept my seedlings in a cold frame after transplanting to the cow pots so I could control watering—I am not sure how cow pots would hold up in heavy and frequent rainfall but they helped up pretty well to watering and occasional rain. As my photo shows, roots can grow through the cow pots, the photo shows eggplant roots. I have tried the 3” round, the 3” square and the 4” square and probably will mostly purchase the round ones in the future as the square ones occasionally break apart at the corners when damp. It’s only happened a few times but I haven’t had any problems with the round ones. The 4” square is a nicer size for certain plants though, but be gentle with them! When I plant the plants in their permanent location I do break up the cow pot a bit, even though the directions say you don’t need to.I am happy with the biodegradable nature of this product, I hate buying more plastic than is absolutely necessary.

They work great
work great I germinate my weed seeds and plant them straight into the cow pots then fill my 5 gallon fabric pots and bury the cow pot straight into the middle. Never had any issues and I grew 7 plants that way. I recommend them.
