I had previously two smoke detectors from FireAngle which had a non-replaceable battery. Unfortunately the life span on them was not the five - ten years as stated (more like three). So when one started to "chirp" we replaced them both with this model. I am happy with this replacement as the batteries (two AA) are able to be replaced! The slight downside is that the mounting bracket is smaller than the previous model, meaning that a little bit of filler and paint was required to tidy up the area around the previous drill holes. Overall, for the cost, ease of installation, coupled with the fact the batteries are replaceable, I am very pleased with this purchase. Definitely recommended.

Excellent value, easy to fit also comes with batteries and fixing so all ready to be fitted and working straight away.

Straightforward to install and use. Batteries are replaceable (which is not the case on all smoke alarms). Includes a useful, simple safety feature: the unit can only be installed on the base plate if batteries are fitted. Highly recommended.

Hopefully battery will last a while and a big plus is you can change them. The last fire angel we had had a 10 year battery life on it and it did not last twelve months.

Many reviews say the unit will not fit into the mounting bracket, WRONG, insert the batteries first this lowers the 2 spring clips which then lets the alarm easily attach to the mounting bracket. When I received these I tried to fit the alarm to the mounting bracket without inserting the batteries - No Chance. Hope this helps.
