They STICK.
I got a group of pretty area rugs for my living room, and runners for my hall. I have no carpet anywhere in my house, and the floor was beginning to be cold as I get older. The rugs, which I bought here are really pretty and lay flat on their own. But I don't want to trip. My Doctor said he was giving me the best advice ever- "Don't fall." He's been my Doctor for 21 years so has watched me get older. They are difficult to cut, so use or buy some super scissors to cut. I'm on my second order, and things like this being consistent are crucial to me, and they are. They stick and don't lose their sticking as they age. I cut to place all around the edges of the rugs and am very happy with the results. A definite buy.

Worked like a charm!
They were easy to use and did the job. After staining my screened porch, the rug was sliding all over the place. When I slipped on it, I rolled up the rug and put it aside, but I hated the porch without it. Then I found the rug anchors. They are big square, velcro pads that go on easily and work great. Now my rug is back down and I am happy with the results.

Works Really Well
I bought these to hold down a long 19' hallway runner. I have two cats,12lb and15lbs plus a 43lb dog who run and chase each other throughout the house. These hold the carpet in place perfectly and it doesn't move at all. I have wood laminate flooring so it sticks to that very well. The only downside is that they don't actually stick to the underside of the carpet very well. I had to lift one end of the carpet up to clean up dog pee and the velcro stayed together and detached at the carpet. You can force the velcro apart like it's designed to do, but it still wants to come unstuck from the carpet side.I really like these though and am willing to put up with them not staying stuck to the carpet when lifting it. If anything I will just buy more if the sticky part wears out.

Beware of adhesive
These are almost too strong. Used to keep kitchen mats from being moved around on basic cheap apt vinyl floring. Literally thought I would never get them up, they must use like military strength adhesive or something. I had to coat the pieces on the floor in goo gone and then literally pry them up. I still have adhesive on the floor. I had to mop with degreaser and boiling water after to get rid of goo gone oil to avoid slipping.10/10 kept carpet on floor-100/10 if you ever want to remove them. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Finally something that actually works!
Far superior to the tape products, this actually keeps things in place. I used it on small carpets and on an chair shield that kept sliding around, held them in place.

Best thing I've tried!
I've tried several different products to get area rugs to stay in place over wall to wall carpet...FINALLY!I was super skeptical after the first couple hours, then days, now it's stayed in place for a couple weeks and I'm so pleased with this product. Hasn't budged an inch. Here are my recommendations though:If you have a rug 4x6 or larger, I would expect to use a lot more than one on each corner. I have one on each corner and then one between length and width wise as well as one in the middle. Also carpet underneath needs to be as lint free as possible.Press these on the back and the carpet below really firmly and when doing so pull as taut as possible so there are zero gaps or puckers. If you do all those things, no complaints...it's a solid product!

this new velcro does not work as my old velcro
Before I ordered this velcro specifically for attaching rugs to the carpet I had used some velcro that I had around the house. It seemed to work fine. This velcro lasted about 2 hours before the rug over carpet started billowing/shifting. It seems the velcro itself sticks - however, the glue part does not stick to the over rug. I used superglue hoping for the best. The glue on this velcro is not as good at the glue on my old velcro. I assumed velcro was all alike - but now I would pass on this one. so last night I added superglue to the antiskid stickers which were 4 x 4 inches. Still this morning I had ripples and bulges in my rugs. So now I have added double-sided carpet tape to the whole back of the rug and to that added sticky shelf liner. I don't hold out much hope but it was something else to try. This is getting expensive. The 6 rugs I purchased to lay over apartment carpet was Safavieh Adirondack Collection ADR101B Ivory and Silver Oriental Vintage Distressed Round Area Rug (6' Diameter Safavieh) I cannot recommend any of the carpet to carpet attachment ideas. Or maybe it was just these rugs that are causing the problem. This rug over carpet problem is too much for me, I do not know what to do now.Safavieh

Time will tell...
Just put them under my area rug, cleaned the 10 spots where they would go with rubbing alcohol to be sure adhesion would be optimal. Time will tell if they are good!
