Giantex Top Loading Water Cooler Dispenser 5 Gallon Normal Temperature Water and Hot Bottle Load Electric Home with Storage Cabinet, White

I've waited several months to write a review because we're on our 2nd unit. The short version is, it's working just fine now and meets our needs. Good bargain. Now for the long version for those with more time: The first one delivered had a defect in the hot water tap...it fell off! We had very hot water pouring out at us. We contacted the company via email and got excellent, immediate service. They apologized for the problem and sent another one out. They didn't require the broken one to be sent back. The second one has had zero issues. Water quality is perfect (no funny odors or taste) and the temp is just fine. The taps are staying on and no other part has malfunctioned. Makes a good cup of hot tea or oatmeal in an instant. The cold water dispenses cold enough for me to drink but if I want it colder, I just add ice. I like that my kids can manipulate the dispenser to get their own water. The only con I have is that it is a little top heavy when a full 5 gal. bottle is on there. This water tower is pretty light weight.

I think this was a successful purchase but eventually 7 years later and 3 different houses, the machine started a slow, slow leak. I thought it might be a cracked jug that was doing it but after about 3 different jugs, it seems like it must be the machine. I turned it over and can't really see whats going on. I think it served its purpose. Always had the water hot or cold and ready to go.

I had an issue with it out of the box. It is a nice dispenser, hot and cold water, easy to setup and fill, and looks good. However about 5 minutes after setting it up there was a puddle of water all over the floor. After diagnosing the problem I found the there is a drain on the back to drain the tanks, this drain had a plastic hose pushed onto a barbed fitting and it was leaking at the barb. I had to remove a side panel and half the coils on the back to access it and added a small hose clamp. Fixed the issue and has been running a week now. UPDATE: The company has taken great care of me and this dispenser has been running for several months now without any further issues.

I give the water cooler a 3 Star, and the extra one Star because the customer service was great. When I received this water cooler I was surprised how small and light it was. After reading the instructions, we got the cooler and hot water on (just 2 switches in the back. There is tape covering them so it doesnt accidentally get flipped on). In less than a few minutes the water was already getting cold. The hot water was (it was on for about 30 min so i dont know how long it takes to get hot) hot enough for some top ramen or cup of noodle soup. The knobs for the water seemed a little flimsy, but it worked. The water dispenser I got unfortunately leaked. It leaked about a pint in 6 hours. I know I just got a defective one, as all the other reviews people got a good one. I looked in the back through the gills with a flashlight, and seen no liquid by the water fittings or hoses. I seen wet residue at the very top of the unit. I contacted Giantex and I got a refund. Im just gonna save up for a different one.

Update! **Ordered 11/4/18 and as of 7/3/19 it no longer heats water.** Don't waste your money! I've owned multiple water coolers in the past, but this is the worst. Where you place the bottle on the top is way too shallow of an opening, which means you will ALWAYS spill water all over the place when placing a new bottle on it. Every single time. I've switched the bottle about 5 times since I got it and I have determined there isn't a way to do it without dumping water all over. I did not have that problem with the ones I owned previously because the top has a deeper opening (meaning as you tip the bottle over to place it, there is more room for water to pour into the opening and not all down the sides and onto the floor). Not only will I never purchase this brand/model again, I don't want the one I have and wish I'd spent more money on one that I won't hate for the entire time I own it.

I had this unit for months. It only dispensed room temperature water. I figured the unit was so cheap, I got what I paid for. Then I had an appliance serviceman come to my house to fix my ice maker. I asked him to look at the water cooler and he showed me the 2 switches on the back that I was not aware of. I did not see that these switches were present in the manual that came with the unit. It works great now. the manual should highlight these switches.

I was confused. We have ordered Giantex products in the past for our swimming pool, and they were made well and lasted. The water cooler we ordered and received from them was a disappointment. I tried to return the water cooler we had (because we felt it was made from substandard material & did not trust its durability). The Amazon site would not allow me to return it (per their usual process) and instructed us to contact an Amazon agent. The Amazon rep was kind, but it was a rather long ordeal, having me hold on as she tried to unsuccessfully contact an agent at Giantex. She told me she wrote to them & they would email me shortly. The Giantex agent responded in a seemingly friendly email asking why I wanted to return the item, if it was damaged, and if it was packed back up in the original box. I explained (in a email response) that the water cooler was taken out of the box, examined and packed back into the original box. There was no damage to the cooler (so there’s no relevant photo to take), I just expected it to be made of a more durable material (not an inexpensive plastic). I had purchased many items at Giantex in the past, and them had always been made well so this was surprising. The representative at Giantex - when we had direct email contact - was lovely and very helpful. She helped me reconcile the situation, and I felt relieved how responsive Giantex proved to be.

Ordered this for my downstairs as we are all trying to drink more water. It started a slow leak that turned to a flood. By the time the slow leak became an issue it was past the return time for Amazon. I reached out to the company and they tried to help me fix and once realized it was not fixable quickly offered a refund or replacement. I opted for replacement and it has been great! I love it so much we just ordered a second for up stairs. Tip- we refill our 5 gallon at home from tap cause we got good water and use press and seal to flip the container over.

The cooler is smaller than my old one , totally fine, and it is quiet, but what I like the best is that I can turn off the water heater ( not ever used ) and then have cold and room temp water. One review I read stated that the water reservoir is so small that it over flows every time a new bottle is put on, well do not take the whole cap off the top of the water bottle just remove the safety seal. The instructions say remove the cap but I don't as there is a spike to pierce the cap as long as the cap is designed to be pierced. Overall very happy so far.

Great unit. A bit cheaply made but for the money it’s a great deal. Had it about a month and the cold water is cold, the hot water is hot and it hasn’t leaked at all yet.

Prends peut d’espace , fonctionne très bien le petit problème est les valves en plastique fragile

Cette machine ne refroidis pas l'eau du tout et si ont laisse le bouton rouge allumé pour l'eau chaude tout la machine devient très chaude et la lumière du voyant vert ne s'éteint jamais n'achetez pas sa très déçu
