Dose it's job
It dose it's job .....it's ok in the respect of if it's all you have it's a big bonus, and could easily make a life or death difference..forms a good part of an EDC light load backpack ect , but it's in now way a substitute for a purpose made bivy

Heavy weight and doesn't crinkle.
Bivy is soft and pliable. Doesn't crinkle with every breeze and keep you awake. To reduce condensation, you may wish to cut open the end and use it as an opened tube. Could also be cut open down the side and used as a blanket to cover two people. Either way, definetly could be reused. I re-ordered two more.

Does what it's intended for 😁
Can't wait to test it out more not the warmest or comfortable, but definitely what I was looking for . Cheap price for emergency gear.

So, I actually used this. It works, but there are some caveats.
I figured I'd actually use this to see what it's like. I spent part of last night outside, the house, using only this and my sleepwear for insulation (and a pillow). The temperature was about 60F--not severely cold, but this is California and I can't control the weather! This bag does work, but there are a few things to know.First, I was sufficiently warm.Second, I was a little wet. This is essentially a 3'x6.5' mylar bag with a silver interior and orange exterior. Because this is a mylar bag it is not breathable--there is no ventilation. Your body is constantly emitting small amounts of water, even when not actively sweating. After an hour and a half there was a condensed layer of water on the interior of the bag, so it felt wet everywhere I touched it. After using this you will need to air it out so it can dry.Third, this has no means of constricting the opening, so you will need to wrap it around yourself to retain heat.Fourth, the mylar bag is reusable, but getting it folded back up so it fits into the tiny nylon holding bag is very frustrating and takes a lot of patience.Your body emits a lot of hear through your head. Always wear a hat when using this--you'll stay warmer. The bag itself is seems reasonably tough. It'll take some abuse, but I think branches etc. will rip it open pretty quickly. The seam tape seems to be sufficiently tight.
