Assembly Type | 1. Remove the red cap plastic cover on top of the piston, just hold it with a plier and pull it off. 2. Remove the chair upholstery from the bottom half of the chair, so that the chair seat is taken out of its resting plate. 3. Keep some cushion / similar material to avoid floor damage and turn the bottom half upside down so that the wheelbase is at the top and the metal plate is slightly above the ground. 4. Hammer the old central gas lift rod present in the chair, that sticks out from the wheel base; while hammering, you will notice that it's sinking until it eventually comes off. 5. Keeping the same upside down position, hold the gas lift and hammer the plate evenly from all the sides , forcing the plate to fall on the ground. Hit the plate as close to the gas lift rod, with the plate facing downward slightly above the ground. After a lot of hammering, eventually this would give way as well. 6. Remove and replace the plastic hosing (if present). 7. Place the new gas lift with its red button facing upward onto the wheel base of the chair. Place the plastic hosing back on the wheel base through the gas lift. 8. Now place the plate back on the gas lift so that its flat portion faces upward and it sits above the red button of the gas lift. 9. Simply sit on the plate and release the lock to check if everything works. Move up and down a couple of times and your weight is enough to hold them back together. 10. Place the seat back on the plate and that's it! Enjoy your chair. |
