this product works my discus got sick (my fault i did not quarantine the new ones and i paid the price a week later they were laying on the bottom and some had turned black some began swimming side ways and others stop eating and were on there way down hill also,damn parasites,white feces,i knew i was in trouble luckily i had some already on hand so i began treatment asap out of the seven that were for sure goners i saved 6 ,1 did not make it i treated the whole tank 60 gal as directed they started coming around after a week of treatment three i put in a 10 gal quarantine tank ( I C U) because they were in bad shape i lost 1 out that group im glad i had this on hand there are other products that target specific infections but this does fine in an emergency the price on amazon aint bad either because pet smart charges $16.00 for a box of this stuff in my area ,its a good all around med in the event of an emergency.

OMG! My pleco survived bloat/dropsy!! He is still a little swollen or he's just a big guy (which I know he is). Because I want him to survive, I changed up the dose a little bit. Its a 60gal tank, dropped seven packets the first day, three the second day, six the third day, four the forth day, and I think I will call that Round One. Sometimes these freshwater "fish" need Round Two of medication to insure disease is completely gone. I love my pleco, the medication was a great deal, and so why not.

tl;dr:it works for body flukes (gyrodactylus)long version:my fish had body flukes (gyrodactylus).the fish scratched with no obvious reason until i saw some small white "hairs" on the fish.if you want to make sure its gyrodactylus there is a video on youtube showing them on a goldfish (search "gyrodactylus on goldfish")it took two weeks of treatment to take care of them, because they are persistant f***ers

It's a good idea to have this on hand just in case your "wet pets" fall Ill with something.

I dose all new fish coming in with this. Haven’t had a problem with it harming scaleless fish or sensitive species.

If you quarantine fish before introducing to your main tank, GC is a must for parasites. Also hard to overdose if you follow the directions.
