Gemstones Dig

This science kit will give our granddaughter a sense of discovery.

The plastic tools do not work too well. Wooden would be better. We have had many of these "digs" from other places

My kid purchased this for themselves, and enjoyed the "digging" aspect, but it was only full of colored glass. I should have looked at the item more carefully, but calling it "Gemstones" is false advertising. Glass is glass, not a gemstone.

Kids ages 6-9 love this. They dig for hours..Gets a little dusty but it is definitely worth it

I wasn't expecting an entire dig site or anything, but this was way smaller than I was hoping for. Hopefully the size doesn't take away from the fun of digging for gemstones.

I bought this dig kit for my two grandchildren to do on the back porch because of so much rain - day after day, week after week, when playing outside wasn't an option. The picture shows the block to dig in as a whitish or cream color - it is not that color!! It’s like black coal and it was the most disappointing kit I’ve ever purchased. It made the biggest mess of black which I could have stood UNTIL I saw that this black yuck stained whatever it touched! The kids hands, and mine became so stained black, and it did not wash off😖! Not only that, it stained the shirt I was wearing. I took my shirt off and even washed it right way even using laundry stain remover but the black stains did not come out! AND, it left out hands looking like we were car mechanic’s with oil that had seeped under our fingernails, and our cuticles! I used a fingernail/hand brush with soap and water which did absolutely nothing. After 3-4 days of bathing every day, washing dishes, and all of the house work that involves the use of water, the black stain finally was wearing off. However, you could still see some black deep under the fingernails. This was the worst “dig” I’ve ever seen or had. My recommendation is “Do not buy”’!!! False advertising and a black mess!!
