If You’re using this for gardens it would probably be fine, I was trying to take field samples it did not hold up.

Product was packaged well but I believe the tool will not last long. Tool is very flimsy and giving at the soil Retrieval slot. I believe the part needed to be reinforced or shortened. The sloped black plastic piece doesn’t stay seated and slips out every use. The handle also slips and could be fixed if they had pre drilled a hole for the set screw. I live in an area with mostly clay dirt.

It was not easy to gat a plug of soul or to release it. Not recommended

Not too good in Tennessee clay soil. It bent on my first use
