This is the perfect size to put a 2.5 lb bag of dog food in.

Wonderful
Needed a new container for countertop compost. This one works great. Leaving compost in there long enough makes a nice and sealed piece of decaying art.

UPDATED: Five stars for the container, zero stars for the labels that are impossible to remove
UPDATE: Upgrading review to five stars. I just purchased two more of these at the 'premium' trim line, and I am happy to say that their labels consisted of loose paper inserts that were inside of the container, nothing impossibly stuck to the outside. Also note that the 'premium' version has an upgraded lid, and it stands about 1/8" taller than the non-premium ones. That doesn't sound like much, but we specifically purchased these to fit into our cabinets, which they barely did, and with that additional height the premium ones now catch just a bit when taking them in or out. Not enough to ding them a star, but wanted other purchasers to know in case you were faced with similar tight storage requirements.Original review below:First, the good news. We needed cereal containers that would fit in the 10.5 inch tall cabinets in the pantry of our new house, and these fit *perfectly*. They're also generously proportioned and hold a *lot* of cereal, and are easy to use. On top of all that, the lids are interchangeable with other products in this line. Now, the bad news. The labels, which wrap around *two* sides of the container, are *impossible* to remove. I spent 20 minutes on the first one, scraping, scrubbing, soaking, and got about half-way. All three of the ones we purchased are now soaking in our utility sink in hot water and soap in hopes that it will make it possible to remove them.Rubbermaid makes and sells millions of these types of products, so they have to know exactly how hard these labels are to remove, and yet they continue to sell them anyway. Boo on them for using these unremovable labels for their own reasons (saving a penny, preventing label swap fraud, etc) and passing the inconvenience on to their customers. Boo, hiss. But yay on the actual containers. :)Update: to finally remove the labels and adhesive scum I had to use Goo Gone and stainless steel wool and just scrub the heck out of it. I ended up causing a small bit of scratching on the outside, but not a lot and it's not noticeable unless you know to look for it, so that's one small silver lining to the incredibly unnecessarily Herculean task of removing the labels from these things.

Great containers.
I have already purchased several of these containers. The first ones were for cereal and croutons that are bought in bulk. Then I decided I to get a few more for instant rice and another for instant potatoes. We already have containers for sugar and flour so I bought this one for pancake mix. I would highly recommend these containers for keeping food fresh for long periods of time that are bought in bulk and protected from any type of bugs that are attracted to grains. This and the other containers I ordered all shipped on time and in good condition. By the way, the sticker on container is very sticky. I was able to remove these fairly easily by using my wife's hair dryer to heat up the sticker / glue and peeling them right off without much difficulty. Any glue residue will usually wash off or you can use an adhesive remover like Goo Gone.

Bought some am back for more.
Our pantry was an absolute disaster with bags of this and that, part open partly used and brand new. We bought 10 of these containers because of the quantity they hold and how close they sit next to each other taking up very little shelf space. They are stackable even full of food and hold enough flour, beans, rice without having to refill them after one or two meals. These things are not designer or fancy. Which fits our home very well but maybe not for everyone. They are quite sturdy and very functional space savers. Hopefully the plastics will hold up for many years at first impressions they seem really good.We liked them so much we are back to get a few more and some smaller ones. If you cook at home like we do having a variety of foods on hand is a must. These containers have solved our pantry disaster and open container food waste we hope. Also the price here on Amazon was the best we have found.

Strong- Does the job!
I was looking for a large container to store flour. I was considering the OXO Good Grips POP Rectangle 1-1/2-Quart Storage Container and this Rubbermaid Food container. I am so glad I didn't paid for more than I needed to. OXO was a few bucks more and looked like it would be harder to clean. After my Rubbermaid arrived I immediately put my bag of flour in it. It fit everything and even with a lot of room on top to spare for me to put a scooper in there and still be able to close it. The material is very very sturdy. The lid is stiff and doesn't bend and lose it's shape like some other Rubbermaid tupperware we have. There is a slight indentation along the vertical sides so you can easily grip it with one hand. I am so happy with this product and see it lasting for a long time! NOTE: I have only been using this for 2 months and so far so good.

These arw far superior containers then the trendy ones fill the shelves in all the stores right now.
These containers I feel do the job and fit into cabinets way better then the trendy, more expensive containers in stores now. And you can get a larger storage size for less compared to OXO and their tic toc competitors. Plus, having used Rubbermaids and Tupperware containers like these, you have at least 15 years before a lid cracks, whereas the new models taking over the shelves, which rarely comes in 21 cups, can have a cracked lid in months, maybe a few years st best. I'm so glad I found these online.

Excellent containers, beware of extreme price fluctuations
These are good containers, but I’ve seen these priced anywhere from $11 each (Canadian) to $80 each. Just make sure you buy them when they’re closer to $11 and you’ll be happy with them.

Great storage for a pantry
Dishwasher safe and fits perfectly in my pantry. Much better than a round container so the pantry space is maximized. Lid fits securely but still easy to take off without contents spilling out. Perfect size for a 4.54 kg bag of sugar

Perfect for regular boxes of cereal
I didnt want a cereal keeper that has a pour spout because my other cereal keepers had that and the bugs still got in there, Im so happy to have got this one nothing will get in there unless I put it in there.
