Light and nicer than I expected for the price.
Way better than the plastic paddles, seems to be descent quality and makes paddle boarding much more enjoyable.

2-YEAR UPDATE - Great Paddle!
This is for the Elite 12K Carbon Fiber: I purchased this paddle in 2018, and after approx. 312 hours of use, I must say the paddle is fantastic. Sure it's more expensive than some of the other offerings from Super Paddles, and in spite of never even touching the other products, I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase. Compared to my previous paddle (220 hours) that came with my Tower Adventurer 2, it is so much lighter. The blade area is quite a bit smaller, but optimizing the paddle length to submerge the blade deeper than normal totally compensates for any observed loss. Furthermore, the blade itself is so rigid, there's no energy "loss" due to bending. All this combined with the ultra light weight leads to so much more stroke efficiency. The paddle is also very solidly built. I loosely (but gently) place this thing in the bed of my truck and hit the highway at 70-80 mph and let it rattle around back there. A few minor scuffs, but nothing to cry about. I'm estimating about 78 such journeys in the bed of my truck (that's not a joke). The upper shaft has a groove that keeps it from twisting out of position--something that really irritated me about my other paddle. Also, I've never had to tighten the screws after my initial tightening. This is just an absolutely great paddle. I can't claim anything about the customer service, because the paddle is great. I've never had to contact them. Also, I can't say anything about the bag, because the thing never 'goes' into the bag. It's always at the ready. If you've read this far, you can see the paddle in action on my Y0uTube video, can't post a link so search Lady Bird Lake Paddle Boarding and see how we roll in Austin, TX! My thumbnail says "PERV ALERT"THIS IS A GREAT PADDLE AFTER 2 YEARS!

Disappointed with the quality
The media could not be loaded. I bought this product with the expecting of an Ania e average quality given the price, unfortunately the locking mechanism doesn’t work and the case that it comes in is very cheaply built and came broken already. So I will be returning this item.

Really pleased with this paddle
I had two of these and a new boards shipped to our vacation destination (cheaper than renting for the week) I was very surprised at the quality of the paddle: The end plugs fit well, low shaft tolerances kept water out, latches held handle height and position securely. I was happy enough with them I wanted to take them home to replace my regular carbon paddle but they wouldn't fit in my suitcase. I cant speak to longevity because i only used it for a week, but my initial impression was very high for a carbon hybrid paddle at this price point.

Loved my first paddle, but my second has a defect.
Update:Super paddles customer service did an excellent job resolving my issue with the paddle and I will still highly recommend their products.I bought the top end 3 piece 12k carbon paddle a couple of years ago for my SUP lessons and paddling expeditions. It served me well through hundreds of lessons and miles on the rivers and coast. With only a few bumps and scratches. I would always recommend the brand to my clients. I was happy to see the 12k bamboo paddle was available again and I figured it was time to upgrade.....The paddle is beautiful but it has a major flaw. The joint where the bottom section meets the middle section is not completely tight and it shifts when I’m paddling. It’s very distracting when I’m out on the water to have a relaxing and calming flow. I’m paddling hundreds of times an hour and I feel the shift on every stroke.I hope Super paddle has a recommendation for fixing an issue like this one. I can basically buy a new Paddleboard for the price of this paddle. I haven’t had any issues with the first paddle but I can’t see recommending these beautiful super paddles if they have an unresolvable mechanical issue.

Excellent Paddle for the Price, For More than the Price Even
This is an excellent paddle. I recently bought an inflatable standup paddleboard and I've been spending a lot of time on it. The first few days I would be pretty worn out by the end of the day and I suspected it was the paddle. When I replaced it with this one I was astonished at how big of a difference it made. I can only compare it to the paddles I've rented in the past and the aluminum ones that came with my iSUPs but I'm very happy with it.Aside from being much lighter and having a far better texture for gripping with wet/sunscreeny hands, the shaft flexes more than I expected and I love it. I think the flex in the shaft adds a slight "whip" to the stroke and adds to the speed. It also doesn't beat up my joints as much with a long day of paddling. The blade is smaller than the aluminum paddles' but propels the board better nonetheless. I'm not sure if it's the whipping action I described or if the design of the blade itself is engineered more efficiently.I'm sure there are better paddles if you want to pay the difference. But from the perspective of this amateur paddleboarder, this is probably the paddle you're looking for to replace the cheap one that came with your board.
