Smart function not working
Had to return because the various smart apps that came with the lamp did not connect to the wifi. It’s not so smart after all.

Stopped connecting to Apple home after 2 days
Light is great but I faced issues with connecting to Apple home after 2 days. Device says it already exists but doesn’t connect.

Works but without apps
The lamp itself works but I was not able to connect the home app from Apple nor their own app, so the "Smart" part of the lamp is not working. This way you can only choose between three light types instead of the whole rainbow as shown in the product pictures.

Not recommended
After 3 months: 1) Cannot connect to WiFi 2) Reset button does not work 3) Only 3 colors still working on manual mode

Very cool and stylish
I was a little hesitant about buying this given the low cost compared to some other smart lamps available, and that it supporta Apple HomeKit (usually quite expensive), and given that I've bought lower cost smart bulbs that have not lasted. I'm only a few days in with this, but so far I've been quite impressed, and I'm hoping it does last. I was quite surprised at the weight of it, it's fairly light for the size, so I wasn't expecting a great deal when I unpacked it. Once out of the box, however, I found it to be of quite good build quality and a rather cool and stylish bit of kit. Setup is fairly easy, a single USB A (lamp side) to C cable and an adapter, then scan in the QR Code on the bottom and let the Home Kit app find it. It did take a couple of attempts to get it to register, but that's more to do my my router settings than the lamp. Once in the app, however, it's a breeze to use (although the accuracy of the colour selecter could be better). It is a small lamp, so white light on max brightness doesn't fill the whole bedroom (which is about 4x3 metres). Two lamps would do the job, but for every day use, I find the more subtle lighting to actually be better. Eye strain is less of a problem when reading or using a laptop, and my main lamp is getting only infrequent use. The colours tried so far (reds, greens, daylight, and an off blue/white) are fairly good, the blue/white seems brighter than just white, but I tend to use the more natural colours. Again, these can be a little fiddly to set up with the selecter, but you can have 6 editable presets/favourites, so you don't have to colour select each the time. Overall, given the cost, I'm rather happy with this, and may buy another. I've certainly looked at other products meross have, and if the lamp holds up they'll be my first choice for some other items. Update: I did buy a second one, and am considering more for other rooms in the house. They've worked flawlessly, even after reconfiguring my home network and readding them to Apple Home. I'm also currently moving over to Home Assistant and these have integrated seamlessly into that.

Great little lamp and ideal for my smart home setup using Home Assistant
I needed a new bedroom lamp as the old one I had took up most of my bedside table. My old lamp was a "dumb" lamp with a Hue Bulb and it was connected to a Hone Assistant / Node Red automation that switched it on at bedtime. I wanted something smaller that would still be able to be controlled automatically and this little lamp seemed to fit the bill. I had been looking at the Govee lamp as it's highly recommended but it is also far more expensive and overkill for my needs (I literally just need some white light around bedtime). I thought I'd give this a go as the price point was just right. The lamp itself is pretty simple. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C lead, and once plugged in it can be controlled by tapping the button on the top (one for one, another single tap cycles through the white temperatures (there are three - "normal", warm and bright) two taps for off, hold for dimming). It can also be hooked up to Apple Home and Google Alexa, which is handy as I also wanted voice control. I really wanted Home Assistant compatibility and luckily there is a HACS add-on that provides this. It took around 5 minutes to set up - you just need to set up an account in the MeRoss app first and then use these credentials when configuring the integration. I was then able to just drop the new lamp in to my flows in Node Red and it works a treat. I haven't even tried the MerRoss app yet to try out the various colours but I'm not overly worried about that, although I will have a play around later. If I find there are any problems I will edit the review but honestly, for the £25 or so it cost me, this lamp is great. It's more than bright enough and it's small footprint has given me loads more room on my bedside table. Really please with this little lamp.

Great upgrade from old model
I had an older lamp which had similar functions without the mobile phone and voice control functionality. This lamp is a great upgrade as my old lamp didn’t keep a battery charge even while being plugged in. The voice controls work great through apple home and google home. However I find this lamp doesn’t go dim enough at night compared to my old one which is a bit annoying being blinded when I turn it on at night. Also when selecting different colours certain ones are much brighter than others. Also the control button on the side is confusing to use at first so I just stick to using the app. My main problem with it is the lack of colour fading mode, there isn’t a fade mode like LED light strips can do, where it gradually changes between colours, there’s is only a pulse or flash mode. So it only works best if u keep it on a set colour.

Excellent customer service
I have five of these dotted around the house. The integration with Alexa works well and they provide nice subtle light in a good range of colours. One stopped working last week, dropped off the network. I absolutely couldn’t reconnect it. I di wonder what support might be from a faceless corporation in China but was very impressed. We went through a few attempts to get it going (which failed) and then the very nice support guy ordered up a new one which arrived in two days. Very happy.
