Zinsser 270978 B-I-N Advanced Synthetic Shellac Primer and Sealer, 5 Gallon, White

This product does arrive very thin like other reviewer said....but I choose to mix it with the drill and is thickened right up... Let me tell you this stuff is amazing.. we had a small fire and this covered all the smoke damage and sealed any smell.i did have to mix for like 10 minutes before use but it went on beautifully with roller, paint brush and my paint sprayer. Couldn't be happier it is expensive but saved me thousands of dollars in replacement walls.. kilz primer didn't not want to work so I but the bullet and bought this.. have not regretted it!

This is the most useless product I’ve ever tried to use.It was so watery it was impossible to brush and even switching to a paint sprayer couldn’t salvage the application and instead just resulted in it running down the wall in ugly drip marks; it was so thin it was practically see through, it would have taken at least 10 or more coats to cover the properly prepared paneling I was trying to paint. The only saving grace was we were able to wipe it off the wall without a trace of it having been there before it dried.I did my research and thought I was going with the best product but I was very disappointed- I don’t know if I got a bad batch, or what but now I’m out almost $150 and have to completely replan my renovation. Don’t buy this if you value your money, time, or actually want to paint something.

Put multiple coats and it does not block the nicotine stains, it did help with the smell when I was done I just use Kilz oil based primer to block the nicotine stains, they were very heavy it might have worked if they were light
