WHITE & BLACK CHESS SET

This chess set looks very impressive in person. The board is solid and heavy, with the smooth, cool feel you expect from marble. The pieces and the board look like a single, stylish set, which makes it work both as a game and as a decorative piece on a shelf or table. The set arrived well-packaged, and everything inside was protected. The storage case had a slightly dented corner, but it didn’t affect the pieces or the overall impression — the chess set itself still looks elegant and high-quality. I got this set for my husband for his birthday, and he is obsessed! He is an avid chess player and has always wanted a really nice chess set, and I loved the idea of having a beautiful set as functional decor. I searched for the perfect set for a long time across many different selling platforms, and this set satisfied every requirement! Every single piece looks really nice (a lot of handcrafted sets have weird looking knights or strange bishops or something else just not quite right about them). It is stunning marble and perfectly weighted. It came with plenty of foam to attach to the bottom of the pieces so the board doesn't get scratched. It's the perfect size. All around, just a really fantastic set. My husband is over the moon about finally having his dream set on display, I can play with him more frequently to better learn the game, and I often find him just arranging the pieces practicing different openings and defenses by himself. It really is an amazing gift for any chess lover!

I've been searching for a artistic chess set that is tasteful, elegant and kind of modern or minimalistic in the same time to keep focus on the game easily without distractions from overload of details and ornaments... and I got this one! It exceeded my expectations by far. I'm amazed how satisfyling it is to play, how clear and natural it looks, and how neat and smooth it feels. I was afraid that richness of texture of marble and coral might be distracting, but i was wrong. It's still there to please your eyes but does not interfere with with gameplay as all the pieces are easy to distinguish. I especially appreciate the Knight design. It dictates the theme of the set, making it a bit exotic and modern, yet its still tastefull and complements classical style of the other pieces (i upoaded a video if you want to have a closer look). Amazing. As said earlier set is perfectly balanced and aesthetically pleasing. Weight of the pieces is also among the pros, pieces feel pleasant to touch and neat to play with. Its handcrafted stone afterall. Board is a litte heavy, but i wouldn't consider that a con, simply because i won't move it around. It's a beautifu set that i intend to keep in sight. What it also means is it's sturdy and durable so you can absolutely use it outdoors. Also, a shoutout to customer service! Professional, helpful and they value customers saticfaction as priority. My chess set is beautiful. The pieces are each perfectly carved. The colors of the opposing peices are distinctly different so that it is not confusing to determine which pieces are yours. The marble board is heavey and the squares to are distinct in opposite colors. The board is perfectly pieced and fastened together. I like how heavey and cool to the touch of the pieces and the board. An extremely nice feature to protect this wonderful board game is it’s Box. The board is placed in the bottom and a tray with handles that has a secure hole for each of its pieces fits perfectly over the top of the board. The lid of the box closes nicely and fastens with 2 tabs of material with Velcro. This game is from a 3rd party, not Amazon. They sent me an email telling me to check the pieces and board to make sure that there are no defects or damage. They gave me a 30 day guarantee. I don’t know however if I would have to pay shipping and handling if I needed to return it. It would be very expensive if so. I’m very pleased with the price and quality of this chess set. And the best part is that I can store it safely in its box so that my small grandchildren do not get tempted to play with it without supervision.

I've been searching for a quality chess set for some time. I initially thought about purchasing a wooden one but there is something special about marble chess sets. This set is just beautiful. When it arrived I was surprised by how heavy it was. The pieces are very nicely polished and have a nice weight to them. Because these are genuine marble, no two pieces are exactly alike. The pieces are also nicely detailed and easy to distinguish between all the pieces during play. It's a very difficult job to create detail in marble by hand. The board is equally beautiful with a very well polished surface. The overall board is 15x15" but the actual playing area is 12x12" with 1.5" squares. In my man-cave this set really stands out on display with elegance. When ordering I had a difficult time trying to decide which color set because they all look so nice in the photos. I decided on the Black and Fossil Coral and very happy with how the colors look with the natural imperfections particularly in the coral (white) pieces and on the board. I would easily pay double what I did if I saw the set in person prior to purchasing it. I'm not an expert chess player but play on occasion with friends. So when not in use it will make a nice display and conversation piece. The case my set came with fit all the pieces and board very snug and well padded. This set will last for decades if well kept. The shipment arrived very quickly and was well packed, no damage to the set at all. Thanks for a wonderful product.

Love this chess set. Initially I was very intrigued by all the different themed sets that are out there. However, after some research, I discovered that sets which feature pieces that deviate from the standard shapes cause an unfair advantage to the owner during games (cause of familiarity) and result in generally skewed games. With that in mind, I think this set is the perfect middle ground imo. It’s still a beautiful statement piece for the room that it’s in, but still functions like a competent standard set for games. The material and quality all feel very premium and look beautiful in person. There’s a bit of heft to the pieces too. The set also came with felt bottoms so that the pieces do not damage the board, and the whole thing also comes with a protective carrying case. My only nitpick is that because it is made of beautiful stone, you have to be a bit gentle and mindful when playing and handling the pieces, unlike if you were using a plastic or even wooden set. Very happy with it overall.

I bought this Chess set after a lot of searching; I bought it as a Christmas gift for my 10-year old daughter. It looked like the quality met the price point, but you never know from pictures and reviews. I was concerned because the description noted it was a bit fragile and the shipping process might damage it. Also, folks noted that it needed felt pieces. The package came on time and was packaged more than adequately. All the pieces were in perfect shape and as beautiful as I could have imagined them. The board and pieces are quite heavy and quite gorgeous. The blue carrying case is cheap and flimsy, but adequate enough if handled carefully. The pieces DO fit in the slots but required some delicate stuffing. The set DID come with a complete set of stick-on felt pieces as well, with several left over. I made the right decision on the chess set. I could not be happier. I think this set is a true show piece. My daughter loves it and it looks great just sitting in the room. Thank you!
