The Best Bird/Color Book Ever!!!
My grandson absolutely adores this book as do I. The colors and different varieties of the birds is amazing. It's laid out in such a way that it keeps the child's interest in learning about the different types of birds, and all of the different colors. I highly recommend this book, it's definitely the best book I've seen about birds and colors.

Lovely Intro to Birds
My toddler quite enjoys this book! She loves asking the names of all the birds. We have read it over and over. The illustrations are lovely.

Beautiful book
Highly recommend for all. Beautiful illustrations and I appreciate that the bird and place species names are also provided in case parents want to look them up. My child loves this book.

We Love This Book
My grandson and I love this book. As a birder, I appreciate the accurate drawings, the choice of birds and the correct environments depicted. As a teacher, I love the lesson on color. As a consumer, I love the quality of the book. My grandson just loves the bright, cheerful colors and sharing his nana’s love of birds! I’ll look for more birds by this author/illustrator.

Beautiful book
The pictures in this book are beautiful. I appreciate that the birds are labeled male or female and that the flower type is included. Great for teaching colors and sharing birds with my grandchildren.

Fascinating for kids and adults
I’m a casual birder and I love that this book uses realistic illustrations of common backyard birds—I attribute my two-year-old’s identification of blue jays and cardinals to its simple language and illustrations. Also the illustrations include plants in the same color, so that’s just, like, bonus nature learning! She likes to read it a lot, so it’s good that it’s also interesting for me as an adult! Also I feel all kinds of Montessori smugness about how she’s reading something so connected with the real world around her.My one complaint, though, is that after going through all the colors like blue and red and yellow, the last page of birds is “black and white.” It’s true that there are beautiful black and white birds like the downy woodpecker, but combining the two made it harder for her to know what is black and what is white. Wish the author had just done “black” with a grackle or crow (maybe on parking lot asphalt!) and then “white” with a swan or something in the snow. There was even space because the last page is an illustration of children putting together a puzzle with the birds from the previous pages. It does conclude the story, but I’d much rather have black and white clarified in two pages instead of one.

great book!
The media could not be loaded. So each page of the book is dedicated to a color and it has birds as well as background of that color and tells you whether the bird is male or female according to their colors. My husband loves birds so this was a no-brainer!

Great book!
Really colourful book! Hadn’t realised it was American (should have realised by there not being a u in colour) but it is still a great book! Just probably not lots of birds that my daughter would see.

Beautiful illustration educational book
The media could not be loaded. One of our favourite bird books. We learned all the different types of birds by the age of one. Highly recommended. Great value!

Fast service, great book
Great picture book for toddlers to help them "see" beautiful birds in their neighborhood and relate to what they are seeing.
