Great for designers in training.
My ten year old loves designing and creating fashions. Since she also likes the Descendants movies, I thought she would enjoy this. This was a fun activity that kept her busy for a while each time she picked it up. She enjoyed the stencils, and has even used them outside of this sketchbook. In some ways, this gives her a bit more creative leeway than say, her Fashion Plates, but the stencils are still there to guide her. I believe my daughter would enjoy this just as much if it was a generic book, instead of Descendants, but those characters just make it all the better.

Fun to design
My older daughter likes to design her dollies clothes so I thought this would be perfect for her. She really likes the Descendents and the characters in this movie. She knew what to do with the stencils and how to use the stickers that came with this book, now for my little girl who is four, did not understand how to use this book and was quite frustrated. She just colored in the bodies and didn’t like that she couldn’t use the stickers on other characters because it didn’t look right. So for older girls, I think this is a great idea and fun for them to use, but any younger ones I think this is not for them. IT allowed for my older to be creative in her designs and she had fun with this book.
