Works as advertised
The drive dock installed into my case easily without any issue. Inserting an SSD is straight forward though at first I didn’t push it in enough and the drive wouldn’t register. Removing the drive is also easy by just pushing the eject button. The power switch works perfectly and allows me to leave an SSD in the bay without it registering with the computer.

It is functional
I installed this in an Optiplex 7060. This box has a 5 1/4 slot on the front that would not accept my old 3 1/2" drive cage. I was hoping this 3 1/2" unit would fit in the Dell 5 1/4 slot, but I had to heavily modify the Dell plastic drive holder to get it installed. I haven't figured out a front cover yet, but this is installed and functional in my system as a data drive I can pull in case of wildfire.

My Favorite Weirder PC Components
These (this and the 2-bay version) are great. SATA is hot-swappable, and the two of these I have have been reliable enough to use for my systems' root disks (Linux can be portable between different PCs, that's how live disks work). This one has less friction than the 2-bay version I have. I put a tiny bit of silicone oil on the side of the plastic WD SSDs I'm using, though, and the problem was solved for both. So, with a tiny bit of silicone oil, 5 stars.

Great for test bench
I have a stack of 2.5 SSDs with different OS setups for various legacy benchmarking platforms. This works great for easily swapping between them. Also, it has a power switch so I can leave a drive in it and just power it down if I'm running newer stuff with m.2 drives.

Solid and easy to switch 2.5 drives
Solid construction, easy to push eject button. has great HHD activity light to indicate use. Easy on and off button. Small 2.5 bay size so you will need a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter ( SEE Amazon SABRENT 3.5-Inch to SSD / 2.5-Inch HDD Bay Drive Converter (BK-HDDF) ". I have multiple 2.5 platter drives and SSD drives and this makes it a breeze to switch. Depending on your OS and BIOS config it MAY not hot swap (see note), so with system OFF plug in drive and boot, turn off to switch drives. NOTE: Only hot swap back-up, non-operating HHD's.

Nice Product (a tiny exception)
Nice product, and simple installation... with one exception. The unit has standard side mount holes drilled and tapped for a standard floppy drive mount. However, it also has bottom mount holes (some cases can use these), but the holes are not tapped at all.A small oversight on a batch maybe, but important to how I want to mount this unit.

Works great for multi OS setups
I got this to have separate boot SSD's for Linux & Windows. Works flawlessly! No more multiple boot partitions for me!
