There is no miracle product that works for all dogs. In fact, this product was not a miracle.I have put literally thousands of hours into training and counter-conditioning my fearful and anxious dog -- we got him as a puppy from the local shelter, just after his socialization window closed. I don't think this product or any of the other Adaptil diffusers would have done anything if not for the amount of work I put in. When we hit the figurative brick wall, however, I turned to pheromones to assist. I did not even bother introducing these products until we had a solid obedience foundation and relationship.Afterward, though? They helped IMMENSELY. I think these pheromones calmed my dog enough to take our training to the next level. I started with the diffuser for a couple months, per my trainer's recommendation, letting my pup get used to the pheromone. I then used the collar. I saw notable changes in my dog's confidence. New people? My pup's still cautious, but he's curious and brave enough to go up and sniff them. New situations? Again, still cautious, but he's a lot more able to focus on me as I slowly build these positive associations.So, this is no miracle product. It seems for some dogs it can be, but I do think it depends on what ails your dog, what training you've done, your dog's socialization levels, and what kind of emotional state your dog's in. I don't think slapping this collar on your dog is best use of these types of products -- if you wish for sincere improvement and the BEST CHANCE at success, pair this with training. I am very pleased with Adaptil products and will continue to use them. They are well-worth the money. My dog's quality of life has improved significantly after adding these tools to our repertoire.

Wow. I’m absolutely stunned by how this works. We rescued our 2 year old lab mix last year, and he had so many fears. He was anxious about men, stairs, doorways, crates, etc. My husband and I have been training him consistently with success in some areas, but not others. His crate was a source of terror, even with treats inside.Yesterday I put on this collar, hoping for the best, but expecting nothing. Today, he voluntarily went to sleep in his crate with no treats in it!! I’ve never seen anything like this. We have been working on this for a year with no success and this collar made it happen with no effort in ONE day. I’m completely stunned. If your dog is having problems, just try this collar. For the cost, it could save you a lot of time and effort. I’m officially convinced, and I can’t wait to see how this helps with his other fears.
