Powerful, fast, comfortable, effective.
Wow, this is awesome. It cuts really well. Has a great safety - which you must use correctly. This is the most dangerous tool I own because it is very efficient. One sloppy mistake and you will lose a finger. But in adult, deliberate, methodical hands, this is awesome!

Where has this Battery Powered Prunier been all my Life!
This tool exceeded my expectations for the price. I tested it by cutting up a Christmas tree to fit in my trash can with no trouble at all, and I also used it to trim two backyard fruit trees. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and very ergonomic in the hand, which makes longer jobs much more comfortable. The 1.5” wide blade is a good size and works well overall. I do wish they offered a version closer to 2” wide, which would be even better. It can struggle a bit on thicker 1–1.5” branches, but it still gets the job done—sometimes it just takes 2–4 presses of the button. Where this unit really shines is on smaller branches in the 1/4” to 3/4” range, cutting them quickly and cleanly. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable tool that performs very well for the money. I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it for light to moderate trimming and cleanup.

Excellent tool for me to fix my tree top
This product has made my life so much easier. I used to trim trees with my DeWalt electric saw. It works great for cutting thicker branches — no problem at all. But when it comes to smaller branches, it gets a bit tricky. Since the branches are thin, they tend to shake and move around, which makes them harder to cut cleanly. After buying this new electric pruner, my problem is completely solved. It cuts small branches easily and smoothly without all the hassle. It’s honestly a fantastic tool and saves me a lot of time and effort. The only downside is that it’s a little bulky. If it could be designed in a more straight, vertical style — kind of like a regular electric saw — it would be absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Must have for yard cleanup.
These pruning shears area amazing! It made quick work of clearing an area behind my shed. What I expected to take hours took 30 minutes. I run it with a DeWalt 20V Max 6Ah battery. After clearing the brush behind the shed I pressed the battery power remaining button and it showed the battery still had a full charge! The build quality seems excellent, same as my other DeWalt tools. It cuts through everything I threw at it within a second or so each. I got it here on Amazon for $30 less than Home Depot, so it was a great deal. The manual loppers I've used for years have one advantage: this pruner looks like it could easily do some serious damage to a finger if you aren't careful. I don't see any way they can make it safer without making it useless, but don't let your kids use this thing!

Fantastic Tool
I’ve looked at similar tools to this, but never purchased one. What really sold on it is the Dewalt name, As I already have Quite a few DeWalt tools and the batteries to go with them it fits right in. Originally, I primarily bought this for my wife, but since I got it, I have used it like mad on all my guarding projects and it has been Very efficient and a great time saver, I have used it to trim trees, trim, branches, and it will go through some serious width branches probably even a bit more than it was designed for, but it works. One major thing it has over simple manual shears is fatigue on your wrist and hand. All of that disappears with this and you can do a whole lot more work in the same timeframe. I used it one day from early in the morning until late in the afternoon with hundreds if not thousands of cuts and it was still going strong on the same battery. The thing seems to go through everything. I even used it to trim some PVC pipe. With that in mind, my only caution about this is that yes it goes through EVERYTHING you need to be extremely careful where your support hand is and not get any of your fingers in the way. With a handheld manual clipper if you happen to get your hand or finger in the way, you could feel it and stop. This will not, it’ll just go through whatever is in its jaw. I had one very close call where I got a little too close and it took off the tip of my glove thankfully, my finger wasn’t in it, but it taught me a very valuable lesson about keeping your support hand clear. I did read in another review someone commented on the blade being chipped or damaged. After a couple days of very hard use, yes the blade was was chipped and had definite signs of use. I purchased an additional blade swapped it out. I put the original blade in my vice and took a file to it, and it came out. Perfect all ready to go again. I highly recommend buying that second blade so you can swap it out as I did. Great overall tool and I wish I had had it years ago.

Great tool well made! Keep it out of the rain!!!!
This is a great tool. My wife now has 3 of these on her palm tree farm and she loves them. They are a little heavy. They are built well and they work well and for a pretty long time on the smallest battery. That helps with the weight. So battery life is good. They can cut some pretty big branches. The price is reasonable. We tried the lower priced look a likes and even though they are lighter they do NOT work as well. We would give this item 5 stars BUT the one BIG draw back is on the label it says "keep out of the rain". And they mean it!!!! If it gets wet, even a little it will stop working. So far we have been able to use fans and compressed air along with WD40 to get them back working. We believe most of the issue is in the trigger.

Yes!
I have acres of Broom ( an invasive species in the Pacific Northwest). I was a little undecided about a purchase of this loper when I first saw this item on Amazon. But, after wearing out my shoulders using large two-handled lopers on the Broom, I decided to try the De Walt hand loper. It arrived in typical Amazon hypersonic time. The battery and charger have to be purchased separately - remember that. The blade is sharp, the unit is not very heavy for one-handed use and has a unique safety trigger is built into the handle. It only took an hour to charge, and I went to the Broom field. The blades are removable with a supplied integral Allen key for replacement. I could cut 1.5" Broom stalks with ease and with two or three cuts, 2" thick ones. The blade is quick and cuts the Broom everything- Broom, Blackberry, thistle, misc bushes- with almost no effort. The gearing is incredible. I spent at least 1.5 hours cutting and still had the power to cut, which amazed me. It is easy to handle, designed and built to keep fingers away from the blades, not unduly heavy and performs as described. A great addition for any gardener or landscaper!

Solid product from Dewalt
Although I haven't used as yet from the feel of the product has a good weight to it and appears to be a solid construction. Looks wise it is the business. I have some other similar product but doesn't have the same weight, rigidity to it. So, I believe the DWALT will be a strong performer.
