Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga (“Up In the Air,” TV’s “Bates Motel”) and Patrick Wilson (the “Insidious” films), star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits. The film follows the phenomenal worldwide reception of Wan’s “The Conjuring,” which marked the largest opening ever for an original horror movie. The film went on to make more than $319 million worldwide and still remains the second highest grossing original horror movie of all time, second only to “The Exorcist.” Rounding out the cast are Frances O’Connor (TV’s “The Missing”) as the single mum, with Madison Wolfe (TV’s “Zoo”) and newcomers Lauren Esposito, Patrick McAuley and Benjamin Haigh as her children; Maria Doyle Kennedy (TV’s “Orphan Black”); Simon Delaney (TV’s “Roy”); Franka Potente (TV’s “The Bridge”); and Simon McBurney (“Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation”). In addition to directing the film, Wan wrote the screenplay with Carey Hayes & Chad Hayes, and David Leslie Johnson. Peter Safran, Wan and Rob Cowan, who previously collaborated on “The Conjuring,” are producing. Collaborating with Wan behind-the-scenes is Oscar-nominated director of photography Don Burgess (“Forrest Gump,” “42”). Reuniting with the director from “The Conjuring” are production designer Julie Berghoff, editor Kirk Morri, costume designer Kristin Burke, and composer Joseph Bishara. Expired digital copy redeem codes!!
I love the Conjuring series. I ordered the Conjuring 2 specifically for the Blu-ray and digital copy. The only problem was that the digital redeem code expired 12/31/2019 and it's only redeemable in the United Kingdom???? This is the United States...wtf???

Region Locked Digital Version.
The digital HD version is region locked. As in, if you're not in England/Ireland, it will not let you register the digital version (Sorry fellow states users!) BUT, everything else works and the movie is scarily good!

Worth a Look At
Marvelous pick up from the first movie that had me glued to the chair waiting for the next thing to happen which doesn't take long so hang on to the furniture that wont move as this will have you on the edge of your seat. Plenty of jumps that this family will never forget seen as the Enfield haunting know as most documented that shocked the world. A single mother with four children living in a house that is a living hell with no help except a married couple who only knows to well. The cast are fantastic storyline is fabulous with suspnse thrown at you from the beginning to the very end so I rated this an A grade plus as now it's your turn to relax and see for yourself with feet up and only a handful of munchies so not make to much mess over the loungeroom floor and have to pick it all up. Marvelous entertainment that will surprise you and you won't be sorry. Enjoy!

A powerhouse of fright and suspense.
The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 are some of the best horror movies made in recent years, and a big part of that, for me, is down to Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. Two wonderful actors who share a sparkling chemistry and bring quality to whatever they do. There are strong stories here, too, of course. Yes, The Conjuring 2 borrows from a real life haunting, but the director and writers do a great job of expanding on it. The cinematography, the closed set of the house, the angles used, are all brilliant. And the main child actor is truly excellent (you'd never guess she was American born and bred). As a package, it's a powerhouse of fright and suspense. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this film
I really enjoyed this film. I felt the 'feel' of 70's England was captured very well, and the haunted house is undeniably creepy despite its position in a completely ordinary street (perhaps that is what makes it so unnerving?). My one gripe is that I cannot believe the events really played out like this in real life, particularly so the second half of the film; but, hey, this is a Hollywood take on events after all. So if you are looking for a well-acted, eerie, occasionally downright frightening chiller set in Britain then this is for you. Congratulations to all involved for producing what I felt was a genuinely good ghost/ horror film.
