Skeptical at first but WOW!!!!!!
I was really skeptical of this, I saw it as a novelty, and the good reviews as company shill material.I work and a restaurant and bar, with an extensive wine list in an up and coming wine region.I was using a stock corkscrew with ugly coloring and a knife blade. The few bottles of win that I opened took an embarrassingly long time with lots of required bracing off of my leg (I know I know)....When I got this in the mail I had work that evening. I opened the package, and thought, this look like a piece of crap, I just blew $15 bucks. This was due to my ignorance not the quality of the product.I used it twice that evening, and it is some of the best money I spent in my serving career along with paying for good shoes and a waiter wallet.Pros---Beautiful non slip finish with nice color.-The cutting mechanism is a dream -- what took 45 seconds+ , now takes 4 secondsPeople describe the cutting mechanism as loose as if it will fall open in your pocket.I tried the "huck" test flicking my wrist as hard a I could while holding the tool. I doesn't budge at all.It is a little loose when open, but not enough to cause concern. Moving part need to move!!!-People also complained that the steps did not reach the lip of the bottle. At first I experienced this too; however, the step is on a glider that allows you to pull it in tight to the bottle ( you have to use it to see how it works)- No longer have to brace against my leg to open bottle!Cons---No InstructionsIt takes some time to figure out how to best use it-Squeaky at first, having never bought a new bottle opener, I think that there must be a break in period, and the squeaking has decreased significantly over the course of a few bottles. Probably want to break it in at home with a few bottles rather than using it immediately.Summation:I am a huge fan of useful tools that makes life easier and quicker for me as a server.I would buy this again, hands down and recommend it to all my coworkers who are buying them as well per my reccomendation.Great product, Great Price, Get it!

Not quite right.
This product is nice but overall is felt a little cheap. There were a lot of moving parts that kind of just wiggled around. The seal opener design i thought would be nice but actually was not. That part was actually very loose when not in use.

TSA approved corkscrew
Bought this to take to Europe and get past TSA screening. In another review, a stewardess recommended it, so I thought "Good enough for me" Well I tried it out and am really impressed. It is light but sturdy, the foil cutter worked perfectly, and best of all the screw entered the cork like butter. I own a "top of the line" stainless steel Rabbit wine bottle opener (which I love) and this thing is just as easy without the weight. The teflon coating on the screw can become scratched but I know this going in and will be careful.... may even put it in a cheap eyeglass case for the trip. That coating really makes the difference in twisting effort. This was the perfect purchase for me. BTW I looked on ebay and there are wholesale lots of these with the blade. Frankly I think that TSA workers pick the bladed ones off passengers like candy and sell them. This is the best for traveling...no blade. Also, This does have a small hinge which allows for differing sizes of bottles. It took just a second to figure how to slide it into the best position. Another review said it was wiggly but mine was not. This moves for a good purpose. The 2 step was easy... First step is to place the indent closest to the device on the rim of the bottle and then lift the handle. This gets the cork 60 % out and then use the furthermost indent on the rim to pull it out the rest of the way. Easy easy easy!!!

BUYER BEWARE!
I bought this a few weeks ago or so, but I only used it for a wine bottle ordered by a table of four just last Saturday (04/22/17). When I went to open the bottle of wine, I was so embarrassed. I will start by saying something positive - the foil cutter itself was great. I was excited at how quickly and easily it was to remove the foil which is really the worst part for me; hence the reason for this purchase. Everything else, however...After removing the foil, I proceeded to turn the corkscrew in, and then I quickly realized that the first level did not begin to extract when I tried to catch it on the lip of the bottle. This is because it didn't catch! I couldn't even get to the second level!! I kept turning the corkscrew in thinking that I didn't screw it in deep enough. I turned the corkscrew ALL THE WAY into the cork and it still didn't catch! I had to quickly grab another server to rescue me. He initially tried to use this corkscrew to see if there was something I accidentally did wrong or didn't notice. It still didn't work. He had to remove the corkscrew and then he had to use his personal corkscrew to complete the task. Later he indicated that there was no spring and it was just a bad product overall.I work in a reservation only restaurant, so we generally receive high end patrons who know about how they are to be served and taken care of, especially when it comes to wine service. This table was one of them. After this happened, my hands were shaking from sheer embarrassment and I had a fear of losing gratuity and worse - I had a fear of them complaining to my manager. I can't stress enough as to how awful this product is. It is NOT as described.

Disappointed in build quailty
I was disappointed in the quality of the item. Other reviews indicated the black Boomerang had some weight to it and felt substantial in your hand. I couldn't disagree more. This basically has the same weight as the $6 waiters corkscrew you get standing in line at the liquor store. Sure it will cut the foil and remove the cork fine but I was expecting higher quality construction
