I love these shoes, but...
I have incredibly wide feet and typically opt for other wide running shoe brands like Hoka, New Balance, and Asics. However, I decided to give these shoes a try because they offered a zero-drop design and a generously spacious toe box. I purchased a pair in US size 10.5 wide, and I must say, they are incredibly roomy and comfortable. For the first time, I could truly feel my feet being able to breathe inside a shoe! I haven't worn any other shoes since getting these, even for non-workout activities. I am absolutely enamored with them. There is one minor issue, though. After approximately two weeks of use, I noticed that the rubber pad on the top sole started peeling off slightly. I plan to fix it by gluing it back on and hopefully that will resolve the problem. However, I understand that these things can happen, and I find it forgivable because it's evident that this brand genuinely cares about catering to my specific foot type. It's a rare feeling to experience such consideration.I genuinely hope that this shoe performs well, and perhaps Altra could consider making the sole a bit more durable in the future. And we know that they have the capability to achieve that.

Great shoe for the money
I’ll start off by saying that I was in a pretty serious accident that pretty much destroyed my left ankle and broke very many other bones in my foot. After asking my physical therapist what they recommended for comfort/support, they recommended me these. I work 6-8 hours on my feet at a time at a part time job so I needed something that was going to be comfortable and supportive during that time. These fit the bill. After almost 3 weeks of wearing them opposed to what I was wearing before, I’ve noticed significant decreases in swelling and fatigue at my ankle. That is pretty remarkable to me.Things I like :- how they fit; they seem to be pretty true to size.- how they feel; they’re extremely supportive and support the natural movement of your foot.- how they look; they don’t have a ridiculous sole or design that looks super goofy.- the wide toe box; this feels great and definitely helps with providing plenty of room for your little guys.- the construction; other than a small part of the sole, the rest of the shoe seems like it will last a long time.- the price. These were $75 shipped, and seem like a great shoe at that price point. I’m pretty happy.Things that could be improved :- like other reviews have mentioned, the adhesive holding the front part of the sole starts to come apart after not long. Doesn’t affect anything, just something to note.- the tongue. There is nothing inherently wrong with it other than the fact it likes to lay over to the side and you have to constantly adjust it. This doesn’t affect anything either, but it’s something worth noting.Bottom line, I would recommend this shoe to about anybody who needs something that is just comfortable, or is like me and needs extra core support for an injury, or just long periods on their feet. Great bang for your buck. I know I mentioned it earlier in the review, but these were recommended by an orthopedic physical therapist who also wears them. They definitely lived up to my expectations.

Light, great cushioning, wide toebox excellent for forefoot strikers.
This is my fifth or sixth pair of Altra Torins. Primary reasons are all in the title. I've seen complaints about poor construction, but as a running shoe, I've never had a problem before just wearing out the soles. I had tried a return to Brooks Ghosts, but I prefer the forefoot cushioning of the Altra. At this price, they can't be beat.

They won't last 45 days
At first I loved these shoes! Then not even two weeks in a had to super glue to bottom sole back on. The week after the upper cloth portion was ripping, followed by more rips and holes, also the inside began falling out. All in less than 45 days used in an office setting and daily walking of our dogs. If you need shoes that will be great for 2 weeks and then completely disintegrate after 5 ish weeks then these are great.

Great shoe for 4 months
I really liked this shoe: love the roomy forefoot, the balanced cushioning, the zero drop, the responsive run. It fits my orthotics nicely. They’re fairly lightweight. But as someone who runs 15-20 miles/week, I expected these shoes to last 6 months and after 4 months my little toe is already busting through the wall of the shoe. I’ve seen similar reviews that Altras aren’t built to last. I plan to avoid this brand until the durability issue is addressed.

Bad Product
Shoe is coming apart on both shoes at same point(inside of the foot). Sizing is correct and did only about 50Km walking.I have Escalante 3 as well with no issues with tearing or coming part on the inside like the torn. I am guessing just a bad product I got.

Okay Shoe. Breaks down.
Review of Altra Torin 6 Running ShoesFirst Pair: After 1011 km, there was not much left of the shoes. They should have been replaced around 550 km, but I tend to be frugal.Second Pair: I purchased my second pair a month after the first because I found the Torin very comfortable and light. Initially, I really liked them. However, at 240 km, they are already degrading quickly. By degrading, I mean the sole is almost worn off, and the fabric around the toe section is tearing from the inside where it meets the sole.I’m giving the Altra Torin 6 a 3 out of 5. They are really comfortable, and my body appreciates the zero drop. However, I wish they were constructed better to last longer.
