Quite working after 2 months.
Bottom line is the tracker works. The website is a little clunky, but it works. I could never get the phone app to work. I had to have VJOYCAR tech support help get the tracker configured. Tech support was responsive. For some reason it took quite a while after setting the apn before it became active on the network. If you are using a prepaid SIM expect around 20 text messages to get the device configured. Now that I understand how to configure it I wouldn't hesitate to buy a second one if needed. I like that there isn't a monthly fee, only the SIM card.UPDATE-Well it quite working, company wants me to ship it back to China for replacement.

$30 per month!!
No thank you, I dont need another $30 per month subscription, furthermore this unit doesnt last more than 3 days when tracking. Sure it will last a few months when its powered off, like any battery operated electronic device, but when you use it, well there's the foreign marketing catch! Fool me once, and I return.

The device is now happily uploading information to my server
After some configuration the device is working as advertised.I deployed my own traccar server, used *setip* command to configure the IP address of the server using port 5002. The device is now happily uploading information to my server.

Buy this when you need to know...
This GPS tracker can be challenging to set up at first. You will need a little bit of patience and with the help of their youtube videos you should be able to get it up and running. The lady in the video does a pretty good job of speaking English and you can tell she is trying to give you the best info she can. You might have to turn up the volume, but if you follow along, pause and rewind as necessary, you will be able to set up the GPS in no time. My advice for anyone buying this is to get the one with the biggest battery as this thing can drain a battery in less that 2 days depending on the settings. You could also wire it into the cars electrical, but if you do not have that kind of access and need to place and retrieve relatively quickly, the bigger battery will be your best option. You will need to buy a SIM card. I found that T-Mobile has the best signal, coverage and price. I am paying for a Text and Data only plan of 4 Gigs and I have yet use more than 1 gig in a month...and I was really putting it through a lot to get the idea of battery life and data usage. I believe this model has the call and listen mode, which I have not used, as the GPS is mounted on the outside under the car. There were two times when their site would not connect and they were pretty quick to resolve the issue. You can get info two ways...Text and Website. Texting *status* will give you the Sensor sensitivity, Alert Status, Check Interval time, Device Mounted or dismounted, Battery power and Sleep settings. You can also get a text with a Google map link and also do live tracking (this function can eat up the battery really fast depending on the setting you have chosen). There are more features and you will need to try all of them to find what works for your situation. All in all, this is a great unit and will give you an idea of where your car is going when you most need to know. BTW, it also has a Micro SD slot for recording all movement.

Nothing but problems, just like everyone who purchased one.
Nothing but trouble. Web site issues make it impossable to make it work. I purchased a TK20 and it worked for a while, then just when I recieved this unit the Web Site is crashing, wont recongize your GPS unit.DONT BUY

Powerful GPS, truly runs on (AT&T's) 3G. Very customizable - their free site or yours. Self contained w/battery; easy to deploy.
This is a solidly built device. It comes with fairly decent documentation. Lots of different options for sms commands and setup for web uploads. It wasn't immediately clear that I needed to make sure the master number was set. I was able to set the apn without issue. I am using a pre-paid sim from truphone.com that has low rates for data and sms, no monthly minimum charge, which uses the AT&T network in the US. It took a while for me to get the master number for registered. Fortunately the seller was very responsive and helpful. Once that was set, no problems with configuring the unit. The free website has some nice features. I haven't tried the smart phone apps.Although it's not in the documentation, the seller has the settings to change the ip address and port it sends to. I have been using traccar.org running on a pine64 (raspberry pi type board) to track several different devices and it was easy to integrate. It has a pretty solid built in battery, you can also use a typical 12V to usb converter if you want to not worry about the battery running out.
