Perfect for little hands
My 20mo LOVES figures...as I did when I was her age. I was not impressed with today's Little People--garish, cheap and soft plastic made in China so after much research I decided on Playmobil 123. They are adorable and solid. Better yet, they are an absolute hit. My brother got her the school bus (regular Playmobile) and I took the little parts but it was still a bit of a challenge. (Her 123 people fit fine in the regular bus). Grammy got her this bus.As others have mentioned the tires aren't quite as nice as regular Playmobile, but in a "see which vehicle crashes into the wall the fastest" contest among her toddler friends, this bus held it's own. This is also the ONLY 123 "active" set with a non-white character. (Update: 2018 is launching an Ambulance with a tan woman and a black male ranger...although there are still no children or babies in any color but white). There are 3 pieces of luggage and one "caution" sign which doesn't really fit into the bus, would be nice if it did. The trailer hitch on the back has lead to much hilarity as the bus can "pull" any of the available trailers like the hay wagon which is high humor for the kids. The storage doors have fallen off, but are quick and easy to put back on. I do wish there were more seats...4 is so little since kiddo has many characters at this point. However, she makes it work. Overall a solid toy that will work well for many years to come.

the kids' favorite toy!
My nephew loves this. His mom told me that this is his favorite of all of his birthday presents. He and his siblings all keep wanting to play with this toy (and the other Playmobil 123 set I gave them) all the time instead of any other toy. With the bus set, you get the bus and figures plus little luggage pieces in different shapes, which is nice for toddlers who are learning to identify shapes. Each luggage piece is also a different color. It doesn't jump out at you as an educational shapes-and-colors set, it just has that subtly worked in, which I like because it gives toddlers an opportunity to notice different shapes and colors in a normal toy instead of a direct shapes-and-colors toy.I played with Playmobil as a kid in the 80s and loved it. The toys hold up well over the generations, and my old Playmobil toys are still in perfect condition. I'm glad they now have Playmobil 123 for toddlers. It fills a gap in toddler toy types, providing a different kind of figure set than had been available for kids this age.Additional note:Playmobil is NOT a block set like Lego fans say...A lot of Lego fans like to bash Playmobil. Lego fans seem to believe that Playmobil is a type of block set, like Legos, and that they're in competition. However, Playmobil is not a block set of any kind, it's a play set. Playmobil and Playmobil 123 are both similar to Little People, except that the figures are more people-shaped than the round chunky Little People, and the standard Playmobil have accessories that are more realistic than Little People. (Of course I like Little People, too. I'm not saying that either is better than the other. I'm just saying Playmobil has differently-shaped pieces than Little People. Playmobil and Little People often can be played together, though, since the figures sometimes fit inside of each other's accessories.) Playmobil and Playmobil 123 are NOT made of block-shaped pieces that you snap together however you want. Yes, some of the bigger Playmobil and Playmobil 123 sets do come in pieces that you assemble and that, yes, in some sets can be assembled in a few different ways or can combine with other sets, but they are not block-shaped sets with infinite building possibilities. They are plain ol' assembly-required (sometimes with a few variation options) buildings with very detailed and realistic (not block-shaped) accessories. But most of the smaller sets, like this bus, don't require any assembly. If you want a building-block set, Playmobil isn't it. If you want figures with realistic and detailed accessories and environments, Playmobil and Playmobil 123 are great.

Wonderful toys!
I purchased this for pretend transportation play in my Kindergarten classroom. I swear by the Playmobil brand. I prefer the “Playmobil 123” brand because the pieces are large enough to be safe for children 3 and up and fewer pieces so it has less to be lost in comparison to the regular size Playmobil brand. I highly recommend these toys as they encourage creative & fun play without the use of batteries!

Arrived promptly and undamaged.
This is a pretty sturdy toy, my 5 year old nephew likes to play with it, though he didn't like that the figures stand up while in a moving vehicle when they were supposed to sit down. The wheels are smaller than the standard playmobil vehicle like the school bus and are made of plastic, so not a lot of traction during play. It is not a remote-controlled toy.

perfect for a 3 year old boy
Got this for a friend's boy, birthday gift. He seemed to gravitate toward it -- the people are large enough for little hands, the bus has plenty of options for the people, suitcases fit neatly into the cargo areas for "transport". It doubles as a firetruck, in a three-year-old's mind, as well.Overall, the playmobil's seem to be well-built and good for small hands and large, creative minds. The plastic is formed well, there's no "plastic odor", there are no sharp corners, and it appears it is built well enough to endure plenty of abuse. Definite recommend.
