MAGNETIC SCREEN DOOR

I really wanted to get a retractable screen door for our deck, but I have little kids and they're not able to open those and I was worried they would end up running right through it, so we got this as an alternative. I couldn't be happier. The kids are able to run in and out at will, without me needing to open and close the door for them. Also keeps the bugs out. AND it's a full magnet down the middle so it always shuts without issue. My inlaws have a similar one, but the magnets don't spawn the entire length and it has issues closing, which this does not have. We've had it up for a year now and it's in just as good of condition as when we got it. Install was easy, but we did end up using our own nails instead of the racks it came with, but that was due to personal preference

Easy installation, fits perfectly, has adhesive tape in addition to plenty of mounting tacks. Zero air gaps between the magnets unlike other versions! Fantastic quality, durable material, holds up to my dog zooming through it every day and closes up right behind them. 100% recommend!

Works great, very durable. Keeps the bugs out and I have noticed it also holds the heat in the house when the door is open on a nice winter day. You can feel the temp shift as you pass thru the screen. The mesh looks heavy up close, but from 6 feet the screen is almost invisible. No loss of view.

Pretty good! Upsides: Quality so far is great, although we don’t have high traffic use so time will tell over time if it rips/falls down. Sizing is accurate; measured my door frame and it fit it perfectly. Mesh is tight - no mosquitos, flies, or gnats. Full length magnets is fantastic and I think a must to keep bugs out. Adhesive is strong and works well; it may loosen over time, but again only time will tell. The tacks are nice for additional support. Easy to install. Sewn in Velcro on the mesh screen border is great. Downsides: the adhesive. It is very strong-it will rip off paint (or anything else if you use it on drywall or other surface) if you decide to remove it. The adhesive is a one time use so I’m not sure what we will do when we take it with after moving-I’m guessing you can buy more Velcro with adhesive on the back. It would be nice if it came in white so it blends in with the interior more as the door we use it on opens to the outside. There wasn’t instructions of how to install the loops to velcro each side open if you wanted; I’m sure we could have figured out something, just didn’t want to take the time. Overall I’d purchase again, just know that if you’re renting that it will rip off the paint when removing and will need to repurchase some Velcro with adhesive backing.

I just received two different sizes of this product for my front and back door, so I can get good air flow in my apartment. The product seems to work well. It's not that complicated to install, but the instructions are from a non-native English speaker, so some things were a little confusing. After installing two, I have some tips for anyone that may read this. First. When you are measuring to see what size you want, be sure to measure the outside door frame. The mesh will adhere to the edges of the outside frame. If it is too small it is not going to work, and you can't trim it if it is too big. Tips on installing. Some of this is in the instructions, but not all. Before starting, hold the mesh up to the outside of the frame. make sure the sides reach the side of your door frame. And make sure that the bottom is slightly above the ground. You don't want to start installing and find it does not fit quite right. Make sure door frame is clean and dry before starting. 1. Lay the mesh flat on the floor with the velcro facing up. 2. Might want to trim the little white label now, because it is easier than when hanging. 3. Magnets at both top and bottom may be a little curved. Bend them back so they lay flat. 4. Take out the velcro tape and apply it your velcro on the mesh. There is a thick strip for the top, and a thin strip for the side. 4b. I found it works best if I got on my knees on top of the mesh. Then I could hold the mesh down with my knee, and push away with my hand to make the velcro edge nice and tight, before applying the velcro strip. Do all 3 sides. 5. Use a measuring tape to mark the center of your outside door frame. 6. You want to make the center slightly higher. So undo the paper to expose the sticky side of the mesh tape at the top center of your mesh and using your center mark, stick it to your door frame. The instructions say slightly higher. I did mine about 3/8 inch higher? 7. Undo the tape and do the rest of the top portion, angling down to the corner. 8. Then do the sides. I found it best to do a little from each side, working your way down. If you do all of one side, you may find that you put it too far away, and you won't have enough frame on the other side. So do a little on each side. Making sure the mesh is pulled tight, but the magnet middle is staying together. Work your way down making sure the magnet stays together. 9. Use the tool that is provided and run it along all the velcro, to make sure it is tightly sealed. They provide push pins that can help hold the mesh to the frame. You will see if these are necessary. Probably depends on your door frame, wind, and how often it is used? Works well. you can easily walk through and the magnets self seal back in place. One small thing I noticed. I have a metal door, and if it was only partially open, and their was a breeze, it attracted the magnets and did not allow the bottom to self seal. Won't be a problem without a breeze, or if the door stays fully open.

These screens are perfect for pets and keeps the bugs out! You can hardly tell they are there. Pets and people can ease in and out. Sturdy with strong magnets.

Nicest screen I’ve purchased yet! Nice quality, it has magnets going all the way down, so it closes all the way, AND it makes no noise when it closes. Don’t waste your money on cheaper ones. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Our last door screen similar to this screen (different seller) didn't last well (the tacks kept coming out, the mesh ripped etc.), so we purchased this other version to try. This one appears sturdier with that extra stitching at the top and the mesh fabric itself. The magnets do close firmly, though that will also mean more pulling at the mesh and the frame tacks/tape/velcro to open it each time. We'll see how that works out. Our big disappointment is with the ties/stays. On our last model, these were sewn in and had snaps to hold the pieces out of the doorway. On this version, they just threw 2 pieces of material with velcro in the box as an afterthought; no instructions or anything for the stays. When we realized this after installing the rest, we had to peel up the velcro in the center of both sides of the frame, shove the ends of the pieces underneath it and put it back down. But now that little area of velcro for the door is no longer touching the frame velcro and, when the stays are in place, it's pulling up in that area. Ugh. Also, we're noticing that the very bottom of the door pieces are not connecting and so there is an open V where bugs will happily fly through. We're hoping that resolves as it hangs, but we're not convinced. Overall, I wouldn't purchase this version again, nor would I get our original version. I'll keep hoping there is a better one to come.

Have purchased cheaper alternatives and they either don’t fit properly or magents don’t align. This has arguably been the best - it’s very sturdy, well made and there’s magnet across the whole seams so you get a satisfying close each time you go through. Highly recommended!

After installing it, I realized that 8 inches shorter than I expected. I would like to inquire if it's possible to replace it with just the net that fits my door, as shown in the picture. If anyone is buying it, please ensure that you take the measurement of the door frame into account, not just the door itself.

Looks good, its a slightly bigger than my door, anyhow i have managed. But, the product is overall good and perfect.
