Get Started Quilting: The Complete Beginner Guide Paperback – July 21, 2015

Great for beginners

An experienced quilter of over 25 years, I am impressed by this book's concise instructions on every level of quilter. Close-up photos present clear demonstration of techniques. Even better, a generous collection of contemporary free-quilting techniques is presented: hexie construction, offset piecing, partial seam construction, and dozens of other specific styles are briefly and clearly presented. Yes, I am impressed; but more significantly I am already planning some ways to incorporate the book's contents into my own creative work.

My Grandma was a great quilter but it's not like I wrote down all her words of wisdom. So when I saw this book it definitely helped jog my memory on the things she used to tell me. Very user friendly and great for helping with project ideas.

This book is a good starter book. I'm just learning to quilt and I've browsed through the book. I believe that it will be a great help as I go along the quilting process.

I absolutely love this book. I made a pet bed for my cats by doing patch quilting instructions. I am so glad I got this book!

I am loving this book. I’m teaching myself to quilt and learning skills and techniques one block at a time makes it very accessible and you get a sampler quilt at the end. You can easily do each square in an evening.

For beginners this is the one. Very easy instructions I had no problems understanding it

I took this book out of my local library before buying. I needed a straightforward approach to begin quilting. The instructions are very easy to follow in this book as are the pictures/diagrams.
