5 kids later and large bunions and these are still comfortable. I wear an 8
Well these are the shoes I wore in 1980 when I was a preppy girl in college. Fast forward a few decades, 5 kids later and large bunions and these are still comfortable. I wear an 8.5 but bought a 8 in these. The 8.5 was too long. I have the leather version of these but they took forever to break in that included a bloody heel. These were comfortable right out of the box. Am currently wearing them in Costa Rica. Better cushion in the footbed than I remember. Love them

Great sneaker for the price!
I've been in the market for white sneakers for some time. Many of the brands I was looking at were $120 and up. When I saw the look and price of the sneaker I decided to give it a try. Very glad I did.PROS:1. They are made extremely well.2. They are highly cushioned inside.3. They are very stylish (for a basic sneaker).4. They have a low back, which is very flattering - makes this a shoe you could wear with a casual sundress or miniskirt.CONS:1. Size - They are definitely smaller than I expected. I am normally a 6, and I have narrow feet. The toe box and width on the 6 are very snug. I would recommend going up a half size.2. Low Back - Even though the low back is very flattering, it means the shoe doesn't stay on as well. So I would not use this for a long walk - and certainly not for a hike.3. Color - They are definitely not white. They are off-white. A lot of women want bright white sneakers now. These are a different look. I like the color. But if you're in the market for a true white sneaker you may want to look elsewhere.

Very comfortable.
My &^%$ year reunion is this year, so maybe I was feeling nostalgic. I started looked for Tretorns online as they were THE sneaker to wear back then. I didn't think they made them anymore so I was surprised to find them on Amazon. My feet are wider now and I didn't have feet issues then as I do now, so I was worried they would hurt my feet. I was prepared for a breaking in period, so it was a welcome sign that they were comfortable from the very moment I put them on. My feet didn't hurt after my long 10 hour day (I do have a desk job, but am up and down thru the day).Highly recommend.

Better than some similar “fashion” sneakers
Very similar fit and feel to the tretorns of the late 80s/early 90s, just a bit lighter in the sole. Arch support is ok. Better than some similar “fashion” sneakers, but might not be enough for some people. Insole is glued in, but it seems easy enough to pull up if you wanted to use orthodics instead.Fit was as expected. I wear a size 9 in other brands (dansko, keens, alegria, merrell, etc) and it’s no different in these tretorns. It is a narrower fit sneaker, so it will not have the wide toe room that some other brands do.I would wear this shoe out and about, running errands, taking my kids to the park, etc. But I do like an orthopedic type arch support, so I wouldn’t necessarily wear these shoes to go hiking, or going somewhere where I’d be doing a lot of constant walking. All in all it’s a comfortable, cute sneaker for day to day wear. It should last longer than cheaper brands of sneakers like this. Cute with anything from jeans to capris to dresses. It is a fashion sneaker, so don’t expect the best arch support. But it fits the bill for what it’s marketed as.

Cute, light, comfy but not enough padding for tennis
These are good shoes and very much as I remember from wearing them constantly in my teenage years. I love that they're light and slim and not chunky like so many sneakers these days. Deducted one star though because when actually using them as tennis shoes -- i.e. playing tennis in them -- they aren't padded enough to keep my feet from hurting after pounding around the hard courts for a couple of hours. So buy them for casual use and comfort, but maybe not for tennis. BTW, these fit true to size.

Sneakin' it old school!
Call me old school, but I never stopped loving Tretorns. I really bought them for my CNA clinicals because they require white shoes---but, I've already worn them just for the heck of it! I feel very 80s...now I just need a twin set and tennis skirt and I'll be all set!

Making Improvements
The new version of Tretorn's court shoes, "Nylite Plus" are closer to the originals than the recent "old" style.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!
These looked great when we first got them. I use to have Tretorn’s in every color back in the 80’s!! But the strings were very long and the ends fell apart after only a few wears. They aren’t the same high quality and well made shoe that I was use to for the brand. Didn’t keep up very long either. I think these are a knock off brand and not the true TRETORN brand or they are just making them much cheaper now. Was disappointed especially for the price!

True to size and comfortable
So comfortable! I go between a 6 and 6.5 with shoes and decided to buy the 6 based on reviews and happy I did. Wear with thin no show socks and my toes are comfortably at the end. Great addition to the casual wardrobe. Would buy again!

Tretorn fit changed from older model but still nice to find a pair.
The volume of the shoe box is a bit large, therefore not a best fit for a narrow foot that is not too thick. The heel fits well for a narrow foot. The Tretorns that I use to own had less volume to them. Otherwise, the comfort is still there just be prepared to tie the shoe more snuggly than if the volume of the toe box was reduced.

A nostalgic shoe and fits just like I remember
Used to have a pair of these years ago and hoped they would be the same and they were! Couldn't be happier with these.
