Excellent bathroom scale!
I never thought I'd be excited about a bathroom scale, and have never cared much either. At, shall I say, over 60, I've never had very serious issues with my weight, and I've never had anything but whatever hand-me-down or cheap drugstore scale came to hand. The last one would read as much as five pounds different if I stepped back on it repeatedly, with my feet in a slightly different position, so I had enough of that!Given that background, ordering and receiving this big, beautiful scale was an unexpected pleasure! It's well-built and has heft to it. It doesn't creak or snap or groan when I step my 185 pounds on it. It does not have gee-gaws that require fiddling-withs. It's elegant, and functional. It has a bright, easy-to-read digital readout.I can't believe that I am enjoying a bathroom scale this much.

Best bathroom scale ever!
We had two scales that always disagreed -- even with themselves if you moved them around the room (it's an old house with uneven floors). They also required me to tap them on before weighing, and often were very reluctant to turn on. This scale weighs you immediately, as soon as you step on it. It's very consistent, regardless of the location. It's extremely legible (big numbers!) and there's lots of room on the scale so I can weigh my dog in my arms and still see the reading. Love it!

Easy, Accurate and Safe
The scale was very easy to set up and worked perfectly right away. The directions were obviously written in English by someone who speaks English, not translated from another language by someone who does not speak English. I bought the black version and it looks very sleek, but unobtrusive. It feels safer than my old scale: the extra width and low profile make it feel very stable. I definitely recommend this product.

Love the size of this scale but the accuracy is horrible!
This scale was perfect size wise. Big, flat surface that was easy to stand on and the display is bright and easy to read. The accuracy is horrible though. We went through the calibration process which is just flipping the scale over and setting it back down. A C pops up on the display for a second and then it goes to 0. When you get on the scale it displays your weight. The problem is the next person that gets on the scale gets the same weight displayed. If you reset the scale before each person weighs you get a different reading. We weighed a 15lb weight and it weighed perfect but with people it does not seem to be accurate. We missed the return window so this will be going in the donate pile.

Requires recalibration if you move it! Blinding searchlight-bright backlight.
I can't believe I listened to a magazine review that said this was the best. I will admit that the extra width is a big plus and it really has a great style to it. However, that same width means most folks are not going to want to leave this on the floor all the time. I have flipped my sharper image glass top scale up against the wall behind the bathroom door for 25 years and expected to continue to do so with this. Nope. If you even slightly move it, you lose the calibration and must stand on it, let it do its thing, flash you a "C," get off, then weigh yourself. All while it blinds you with a searchlight bright backlit display at 5:30 am. NOT recommended unless you have a palatial bathroom or weigh yourself somewhere else without carpet (it does not recommend use on a carpet, like most home scales.) kg/lb pushbutton can be easily switched when grabbing at the most normal spot to pick it up near the top of the scale to move it. Of course, they do not want you to move it, so that would not matter to them. That should have been a slide switch like the sharper image scale. I guess I will continue to use the Sharper Image even though one or two of the bars are burnt out of the numerals now. It still works better and faster than this one.edit: I have discovered that nearly all of the digital scales have this "feature" now that embedded microchips with the calibrate function are so readily available. Proof that because you can does not always mean that you should. Anyway, it is not fair to rate them poorly for something that every scale has now so I am bumping the rating to match the larger size and styling.I finally did find one scale that, even though it still does the calibration every time, it cleverly does it AFTER you weigh yourself and gives you a green "confirmation" check mark unless it cannot calibrate correctly on the displayed weight. It is the etekcity EBS-C121-KUS here on amazon. At least you do not have to wait for the calibration up front...Of course, it only comes in blue. Who thought buying a replacement scale would be so difficult?

Easy-to-use, accurate, and sturdy
I bought this to replace an earlier-model EatSmart scale I lost in a move a few years ago, and as with that other one, it's a fabulous product-- it's very accurate, easy to use, and well-made/sturdy, and I expect it to last us many years, just as the other one did. Also, though I haven't needed to deal with EatSmart's customer service with this scale, I did need to contact them once several years ago, and it was one of the most positive customer support experiences I've ever had. I think it's important to note that, as prospective buyers should know about vendors who endeavor to treat their customers well.

Finally a scale for larger people!
It’s like pulling teeth to find a scale for us larger folks, so I’m very glad I found this one! It works perfectly, seems to be accurate as compared to the scale at the doctor’s office, and it looks sleek. Great purchase, highly recommend.

Exactly as described
I really like this scale. It is sleek and easy to stand on. I like being able to just stand on it and not have to hit a button to turn it on first.
