Big flashlight in a small package
This is a feature-packed flashlight for it's size and price. The main light is surprisingly bright for it's size. The side lights are by far my favorite feature and add so much utility. There are many features on this light that are usually only found on more expensive models like adjustable brightness, mode selection, rechargeable, magnetic. It feels very well made (for the most part) and all the features work well. It's not perfect. If there was a 4.5 stars, that's what I would give it, but it definitely rounds up to 5 more than down to 4. I only have a couple minor criticisms. - The magnetic features are added snap-ons that make the profile/shape feel bulky and cheaper. It's a tough trade off to either give up the magnetic features or keep the smaller, premium appearance and feel. - The button controls are complicated. I really hesitate to list this as a criticism, because they do a really good job making all these features work with only one button. It's not intuitive, but I think it's as intuitive as it can get. I mention it as a criticism only because I think it's something a prospective buyer should be aware of as a user challenge. The RovyVon customer service is also excellent. I was sent an older version than the one shown, but they immediately sent me the correct one with no issues. The previous version I got was still great, but had the older micro-usb charger and did not fit the included magnetic end cap. The replacement is every bit as-advertised and a really phenomenal product and an amazing value. If I had to make any feature suggestions, I would: - Integrate the magnetic strip from the clip into the body of the flashlight (opposite the side lights), and relocate the clip to the side. That could also make the clip thinner since the magnet would be removed from the clip. - I would also integrate the clip-on magnetic end into the body of the flashlight and change the keyring hole to a smaller loop on the cylindrical edge so that it doesn't interfere with the magnetic end.

THE BEST FLASHLIGHT I'VE EVER OWNED!!! They thought of everything and added it in a small package.
I have a small museum's worth of flashlights that I have collected over the years. Most still work! But, none of them offer all of the options, benefits and brightness that this RovyVon does, especially for the size. Let me count the ways: PROS: 1) Really small and easy to fit in pocket, purse, work bag, backpack, etc. About the size of your pinky finger. 2) Rechargeable (USB C) 3) Pocket/hat visor clip (Removable) 4) 2 powerful magnets (on the tale end and on the clip) (Removable) 5) Push and Hold - Super bright flashlight 6) Push twice: Flashlight - 4 bright settings (super bright, bright, medium, and very low) (click once to change) * Note: if you leave the flashlight on at one brightness level for 3 minutes it will turn on to that level next time. 7) Push three times: UV light or bright red/blinking red safety light (click once to change) 8) Push four times: Side "lantern" light (medium & bright) (click once to change) 9) Low battery indicator (red light on side when operating) 10) Charging indicator (breathing blue light) 11) Fully charged indicator (green light) 12) Also comes with a key ring 13) Really good battery life between charges 14) Comes in several models with different options (UV/red safety light or blue/red "police" party light or different color temperatures) CONS: Uh..... maybe, don't look directly into the light. Otherwise, PERFECT! A lot of punch for the price. Very much worth it!

Tiny and bright
Nice little light. Small and mighty with a few modes to choose from. Blacklight and red light work nicely.

Updated review 11 months later, Great light, Fantastic warranty service
This is a handy little light which is impressive in both its design and build quality. Not cheap but I find it to be a good value. Learning the "clicks" to control it comes easily after a day or two of use and the only nit for me to pick would be that the control button can be a little difficult to find and press in the dark, but were it to be easier to push I believe the light would also be too easily turned on accidentally when jiggling around with my keys in my pocket. The dimmest setting on the front light is very weak, but the white side light on the low setting easily casts enough light to walk around in an otherwise completely dark room. I'm very happy with this purchase. OK, 11 months after my purchase and I am updating my review as seen above. The light simply stopped working. It had been great, I used it every night crossing a dark room. But then it suddenly stopped working and no lights would go on, even the charging light did not work. Went to the RovyVon web page to see how to file a warranty claim. Sent them an email at 4PM EDT on Aug 20 (a Sunday) to inquire about how to get warranty service. I did read their website instructions and sent background information about my purchase. I got an email reply 27 hours later requesting that I send my mailing address so they could send a replacement. Sent a response back including my address. It is now 3:30 PM on Wednesday August 23 and I have a new replacement flashlight in my hands. Talk about service, less than 72 hours after I notified Rovyvon of a problem I've got a replacement. The only thing they requested besides my address was a photo of the serial number on my original purchase. That photo was not a requirement for getting a replacement and I can only assume that they are using serial number for as a piece of their quality control process. 5 Star reviews when everything goes right is one thing. But customer service is an aspect of company performance that can generally only be addressed when something goes wrong. RovyVon gets a 5 star rating on both their light and their customer service in my book.

Impressive tool, unique capabilities, helpful support
There are so many useful features in such a discreet package here. The A8โs powerful, warm, high CRI LED is great when preserving color detail. I also use the UV side light with fluorescent materials. When my unit suddenly stopped working after a year, RovyVon sent a replacement right away. For comparison, I have another A5 light that survived 3 years of heavy use - overall durability has been solid. Amazing products, and responsive support team!

Flawed but Amazing Swiss Army Knife Flashlight
I bought the 219c/High CRI version, and am absolutely smitten. The brightness and beam pattern are great for daily use, the light color and quality are very pleasant, the warm side light is super useful and the UV light works very well (it's actually 365nm from what I can tell and not one of those cheap purple LEDs that isn't actually much into the ultraviolet part of the spectrum). The clip is easy to attach and detach, but still stays in place sturdily. The magnets are more than strong enough on both the clip and the tail to hold the light in place, and the button is super recessed and doesn't seem prone to accidental activation at all. The charging indicator is very clear and easy to understand what is going on, and the light charges with a C-C cable. All of the side lights, and low mode on the main light work while charging, which I find bright enough for most up close tasks. And lastly, the size is incredible!! I can't believe how small this thing is despite the capability! Low mode on both the main and side white LEDs are bright enough to work in the dark, and they stay on for hours and hours! Incredible. However, there are some rather annoying flaws. The battery isn't removable, and even with soldering skills I am not sure where one would find a replacement pouch, or how to open the light without destructive means. I understand that the light really couldn't be this small AND have a replaceable battery, so I will give it a pass here. The red light is very bright, and you cannot change the brightness. Its so bright it is almost useless. I really wish that instead of different flashing settings, it had different brightness levels, as I would have liked to use this as a dim red light for nighttime in a dark room. The WORST part of this light, though, and the reason I am docking a star, is the god awful UI. The decisions to make it so that one click from off does nothing to prevent accidental activation, and hold for momentary high, are good ones, but they are the ONLY good ones, and everything else is a mess. Hold for off is a massive mistake, and clicking to change bright brightness or mode should be switched to hold. These would be very easy to switch. There is no way to access moonlight from off, and the only way to access it is to cycle through HIGH, which is NOT something you want in a situation where you need moonlight, so moonlight on this light is effectively useless, unless you make that the default mode memory brightness, which is not practical. Oh, and speaking of mode memory, it is a DISASTER. To change the memorized mode, you have to wait 3 minutes in that brightness. This presents several problems... Firstly, if you want to set the memory to medium or high, you have to wait for 3 minutes in that brightness, which will take a chunk out of your battery (and heat the light up considerably). Second, if you end up using the light in a different brightness than the one you want memorized for too long, the memorized brightness changes against your will, and you then have to spend 3 minutes changing it back to the brightness you wanted it to be. This is the worst execution of mode memory I have ever seen, and Rovyvon really should reconsider how they handle this. If I could change the UI of this light, I would do so as follows. Hold from off: moonlight (MOST lights do this) Click then click and hold: momentary high (common) Click while on any mode: Off. (Nearly ALL lights do this) Hold while on: change mode/brightness (MOST lights do this) Double (or triple, quadruple...) click while on: save current brightness as memorized If I overlook the dumpster fire of a UI (which you could probably get used to if this is your only flashlight, but not if you have more lights!), I think this is an amazing keychain flashlight, and I love carrying it around with me.

Best EDC flashlight out there!
Very bright, usb-c rechargeable, and tons of utility. I didn't think the UV light would be useful, but it's fantastic especially for pet owners! Red blinking light is great for riding bikes. Weighs practically nothing and small enough to fit on a keychain or in a coin pocket. I find the side lights to be just as useful if not even more useful than the main light for reading or walking around the house without having to turn on the lights and waking others up. Sidelight is similar to using your iphone light vs a flashlight. Magnets are super handy for handsfree lighting. 5000k is high CRI and easy on the eyes.
