Dry, but Works
I love this little palette. I used it once or twice for tattoo cover up, and it covers completely. Only thing is, it does look a little dry. Getting the right color will take some practice. I use 91% alcohol from the drugstore.I also had a makeup artist for a movie use this on my tattoos once, and it came out about the same result, but she had the color match down and it looked great. Like magic! But yes, when you look closely, you can tell there is a cover up there, even when done by a professional.Oh, the colors did come cracked, but that doesn't bother me. Once you put alcohol in it, it does what it's meant to do. And yes, it's waterproof. If you're sensitive to alcohol on your skin, I could see it being a problem, because you do need a higher percentage.

Doesn’t look great
The media could not be loaded. It’s super dry and doesn’t look great as if it’s been sitting on the shelf for years. I’m returning and going to a store to pick up. I thought I could get good product directly from the company on here but I guess not.

OVERPRICED. MSRP is $55 USD, great product
The non-metallic "On-Set" (smaller sized) palettes retail for avg. of $55 USD, current as of June, 2016. The product is great, but this listing is overpriced! The other customer's photo looks perfectly normal. Because there was no written description with the customer photo, I have no idea why that customer chose to rate it at one star...unless for some reason it didn't activate when used with 99% Isopropyl alcohol, or the Skin Illustrator approved activators. Cracks are not an imperfection. They occur when the pallets are filled as a liquid, and dry quickly. They will go away as you use the product, and do not affect it's performance. This kind of makeup can somewhat be compared to watercolor paints, except instead of water to activate, for this makeup product, one must use very high percentage alcohol.Honestly, other than the current price being higher than one would pay nearly everywhere else, and as long as this is an authentic Skin Illustrator product, I believe the product is great.

Five Stars
Such a cool and unique effect. If you know how to use it it's amazing!

Needed to create a "bald" look
It didn't work well when applied to a cloth bald cap, but when I used it to stipple on hair waxed and powdered down, it really helped create a bald effect for a woman playing Ben Franklin (!) using her own hair.

Exc!! Small but excellent

Small, too pale, not effective
Too expensive. Required too much of product to show up on prosthesis. Did stick well (used with 99% alcohol as directed. Could not "flick" product as needed.
