I'd tried the usual products on this 30 years splitter, but it always defaulted back to a very tired finish. I give the plastic a good clean and used the spray in the box, washing it off and leaving to dry for a couple of hours. The applicator is similar to a patent shoe treatment, with a circular small foam applicator, that you press lightly into the plastic to release the dye. It's great for small areas like this splitter, but I think it could be hard to use if you have larger areas than 5cm, as it's likely to be patchy or just hard to apply well.You can see in the before and after photos the finish, which I'm really happy with. I intent to give it a thin covering of silicone to add a little more weather protection. I hope it lasts a season, rather than being another detailing job at every wash.

The product appears to do as described but the instructions are not as helpful as I would wish. The sponge applicator may well work on flat surfaces but certainly not on bumpers or handles with bumps, hollows or ridges. I found pouring the liquid into a tub after vigorous shaking then applying it with a good quality synthetic paint brush gave excellent results. Masking up surfaces that you do not wish to paint is also a good idea. So in summary, good product hampered by poor instructions.

Didn’t get on with this product at all, went on more like a paint and had a real job to get it off, would not buy again!
