I just received this product and my initial impression is that I'm impressed. Very sturdy, well-made and very attractive looking (considering it's a motor mount and not modern art). The aluminum is well-machined and fairly robust looking, and I like the simple stainless steel springs.I plan to use this to mount an electric trolling motor and possibly my 4hp 2-stroke kicker, so I won't get anywhere near to the rated weight capacity. I'm not sure I'd put 115lbs of outboard motor on it, but I have no reservations about using it for these smaller motors.I'll update my review after I've completed the installation and tried it out a few times. However, so far it looks like a keeper for my light-duty demands.Regards, Mark

Better than I had anticipated. Good quality materials. About the same as my panther for less than half the price.

It seems very sturdy, I really like it only thing I fixed was the wood was not water prof. I fiber-glassed and then sprayed a rubber coating like a bed liner. waiting for a good day to mount to boat. But it seems very sturdy

Only used about 6 months (few hours every weekend, in lake), and it broke in half, and my motor dropped into the lake. The aluminum part is solid, but the wood plate wasn't pressure treated.

Works as expected

works for my application only complaint I have is didn't come with any hardware to mount it up.
