These were adorable. Very classy and great quality. I bought for an event, however they needed alterations which I didn't have time to do (totally my fault, I ordered too late). So I only had them try them on and took a few pics which I posted. My nephews are not off the rack sizes..they can always fit the top but the bottoms are always too big or too long. In this case for the youngest, he's 6 and wears an 8 so the bottoms needed a lot of tailoring as he's too short for true 8 sized pants. The 10 yr old wore a 10, but the waist was snug. So just keep in mind the true to size and order that. Give yourself more lead time than I gave myself for alterations. I ended up doing rentals for our event, but given more time I would have paid for alterations.

This suit exceeded my expectations. My son is shorter for his age so we ordered a size 8. It fit perfectly length wise as well as in the stomach area. I also ordered suits from other companies in various sizes and the shirts would either fit his stomach but the pants were too long or the pants would be the right length but the shirts were too small. So needless to say, I didn’t have high hopes for this one but it blew the other suits out of the water. The satin on the collar makes it look so expensive, we have no complaints! Too bad he only needed it for one night. Will definitely order from Norton Springs again in the future.

I ordered based on my son's measurements and was concerned the tux might be a little on the small side. I was wrong. We decided to buy after checking out the cost to rent. But if we have to alter this then we're getting up in the rental price range. We ordered a 10. The pants are slightly loose in the waist but there is back elastic and belt loops. They were pretty long in the stride and very loose in the seat area. Even with shoes we'll have to hem. The shirt swallowed him. No way to make the shirt work. The vest was pretty loose and the arm holes hit too low. It is adjustable in the back. The jacket was just slightly on the large side overall, but not so large that I'm sure about getting an 8. The sleeve length was perfect. I don't know if getting one size smaller is the answer or trying out the modern fit which is cut to fit closer to the body. The tux itself is great. Some reviewers have lamented the polyester fabric, and it's not my favorite either, but this is probably a one time wear and who's really checking out the fabric anyway? So it's a great looking tux if you find the right size. The shirt is pretty thin and scratchy so it would need to be washed before wearing.
