This order (through Circuit City) took more than awhile to get to me but, ultimately, it was worth the wait. I found the unit very difficult to install and had to go online to get it working. Nonetheless, once it was here and up and running, I have found it very useful. The scanning is easy and fast and the scanned imaged are clear. The unit is easy to use over a wide variety of media, though - full disclosure - most of my scans are limited on one or two pages. I am considering a new "desktop" scanner available for faster use on multiple page items. Good item, fair price.

This item is archaic. Not simple to use at all. Does not scan correctly. I worked for over 2 hours and it is the worst product I have ever purchased. I opened it AFTER my return Time or I would definitely returned. LOST MONEY ON THIS product. Waste of time and money. My phone does a better job!!!

Este escaner se puede mejorar mucho más. Debería tener forma de cuña a lo largo del aparato, de tal manera que se pueda meter hasta el fondo entre las páginas de un libro. Works as advertised, been digitizing all my books into pdfs

Probably wouldn't buy again. Jumbled documentation and website for downloading software. Does not download via the USB cable it provides (can't get the computer to recognize the "disk"). Product needs design so it does not require Mini SD which has to be dismounted from wand every time to download, easily lost, vulnerable to damage.

This will save you a lot of money. Much cheaper than other versions of this. I buy out of date textbooks for cheap and turn them into digital versions, so I can take them with me to study without taking the big book!

I'm on my second one. The first one worked for a good 6 months before the battery wouldn't hold a charge so I thought well it's not a super high quality scanner but the images are pretty clear and works for the few times I actually need to use it. Then I got the second one. Right out of the box the battery was toast. Wouldn't keep a charge and eventually wouldn't charge at all. It was frustrating because it says it has a full charge and as soon as you use it it says the battery is dead and shuts off. Maybe the second one was just defective. If you are rarely going to use this it's great but I wouldn't reccomend relying on it for everyday use when you need something scanned to use right away

The software instructions don't work at all. Even worse, plugging the hardware it into a computer almost destroyed the computer - IDK why but windows kept opening and closing all over the computer - the virus scanner kept flagging something - what a mess!! Maybe the scanning hardware is infected with malware, but its also terrible that the instructions were clearly never actually tried before publishing.

Igual que todos, solo debo decir que en cuanto le agarras el modo de bajar la página recta, funciona de maravilla (y mejoras el pulso, jajaja)

I’ve had it a month and still haven’t been able to scan anything. I’ve registered it (keep the packaging for this!), downloaded the licence, the software and put in the micro memory card. On downloading the software you are immediately invited to upgrade to IRIScan 17 - at £80+ p.a. Still doesn’t work. I tried again to be offered an even better upgrade to IRIScan22?! I wanted an OCR reader that works out of the box. Not this malarkey. Good luck with customer ‘support’😕

Le scanner en soi fonctionne tel que décrit mais les applications qui viennent avec sont un vrai cauchemar. Pire, Canon Iris, pourtant pas une binerie, n’offre aucun soutien valable. L’installation initiale du logiciel Inclus, ReadIris ver16, n’a pas bien fonctionnée. Plein de message d’erreur. Mon ordi HP 16 mg Ram, i7 fonctionne pourtant au quart de tour…. Tout est top notch. Je recommence désinstalle/réinstalle. Lis la tonne de documentation, visionne les dizaines de clips (inutiles ou non pertinents) fournis par le logiciel d’installation. Essais, erreurs…. Rien ne s’installe. J’ai des ordis depuis 35 ans… en désespoir de cause je decide d’acheter la dernière version de ReadIris23 (remboursable..). Encore là, même scénario. Le code d’activation n’est pas accepté. Erreur: code d’activation utilisé trop souvent. C’est pourtant la première tentative @$#@%$. Je tente de chatter avec support. On me répond après 24hrs que c’est parce que je tente de l’installer sur plus d’un ordi. Je relance on me répond la même chose et que le licence, apparemment, a déjà été utilisée . Outré, je documente la requête d’Assistance: il n’est pas question de 2 ordis et on parle toujours du même ordi. Finalement , y a un gentil messieurs qui fini par me dire de tout désinstaller avec CCLeaner, de désactiver mon anti virus. Il a réactivité la licence et l’installation devrait marcher. Cela ne marche toujours pas: le message d’erreur: (code ne peut etre lu…) Après des heures de taponnage avec la version de base je fini par l’installer, mais le modèle de mon scanner IrisBook5 ne figure même pas dans la liste des scanners. L’appli détecte mon vieux scanner HP 3110 mais pas mon dernier gizmo. J’attends toujours qu’un technicien prenne à distance le contrôle de mon ordi. Une semaine s'écoule…Toujours pas de service. Bref, si vous voulez un casse-tête à 300$ achetez-vous ces gizmos Canon. J’ai obtenus remboursements et perdu 3 jours en plus de bousiller mon autre scanner affecté par les désinstallations répétées. Ai du restaurer mon système win 11 en pour oublier ce cauchemar. Au total la requête est restée ouverte plus de 10 jours au soutien technique. La COVID ne tient pourtant plus d’excuse….

Cumple su trabajo, a comparación de otras personas no batallé para instalar el software, pero como todo software nuevo uno tiene que aprender a manejarlo. No es complicado, como todo escáner a base de lector led-rodillo digital si mueves mal la mano o ligeramente mueves la dirección del escaner y no lo haces en linea recta, la imagen saldrá mal. Una vez que aprendas a usarlo es un muy buena pieza para escanear donde estes. Yo pedí el que no es Wifi.
