Anatomy: A Complete Guide to the Human Body, for Artists & Students

This is a great book, one that every family will find useful as a reference when minor injuries occur and you need to locate the injury either for descriing it to a doctor or determining whether you need a doctor. Having it around might encourage your children to become a doctor or a nurse someday. I had been relying on Gray's Anatomy for many years, but despite its importance for Anatomy, it was really written as a textbook for surgeons when surgery was hardly developed as a science. This is a relatively small, handy reference which includes all the amazing drawings that were done for the prior text but for a layman's point of view. Very well done.

It is awesomeness bound! It has all of those great old illustrations from the original Gray's along with updated nomenclature and text, all in a book small enough to take anywhere. For this student, taking up less space in the ol' backpack is a HUGE plus! If you want some alternate views that aren't in your "Trail Guide" or other text, try this one on for size.

Pocket sized book! Just a warning it’s pretty small and the size is misleading from the picture but I think it’s cute so I don’t mind. Lots of helpful pictures and descriptions for explanation on the go.
