The igloohome deadbolt is essential in every home. Compact in size and price, it comes with more than enough features to rival the big boys. Version 02 is new and improved, making it even greater value for money. No more hassle of locating forgotten keys and replacing missing ones. No more frustration of accidental lock-outs. No more fumbling for keys. It's fuss-free living. Unlock with a PIN code, or a Bluetooth key on your smartphone. Different modes of entry are offered for flexibility of access. The physical key is still available as a back-up. The igloohome deadbolt works with innovative technology involving encryption and synchronisation. An Internet connection is not required for the lock, so there is no need to worry about WiFi hacking. Grant access to your home even when you're away. With the igloohome mobile app, create PIN codes or bluetooth keys, and select how long you want them to be valid for. Track the dates and times at which visitors enter your home.

Generated PINs cannot be revoked. Door hatch sticks and is very difficult for guests to access.
1) Once a PIN is generated it cannot be revoked. I had to switch cleaners and learned there is *no way* to remove access to a PIN once it is issued even if you are connected to the lock via bluetooth. The only way to revoke a PIN is to completely reset the device which deletes all other PINs you may have generated for others.2) After the correct PIN is used, the door is still very difficult to open. Every service worker and guest that needs to use it always has to call and say the "lock isn't working". It's a terrible mechanism.Seriously, don't get this device. It sucks.

Does What You Need it to. Bad Service.
Update 2: Lock completely dead now with unretrievable keys inside it. Avoid this product.Unfortunately this company has completely ignored my repeated attempts to contact them about a defect in this lock and therefore I guess I have to change this review until they respond. It's a shame because I think it's a good product.OLD REVIEW:We have an older property that we Airbnb but aren't totally convinced that we will do it forever, or even more than a year, so coming up with a self checkin option that didn't involve replacing our locks with a keypad lock didn't seem like a good use of our money. I mention it's an older property just because all the doors are weird and it would be a pain to install a PIN-pad type lock, and I haven't found one I liked that would change the PIN remotely anyway. This lock, so far (5 guests in) has been great, and has allowed us to fully automate our check in process. As far as I understand, it doesn't connect to the internet, or wifi. So how does it "sync" the current PINs for your guests? I *think* that it uses a time-based random number generator to generate the PIN codes, hashed with a unique identifier for our particular lock. My theory is that at any given time there are dozens, perhaps hundreds of PIN codes that will work (they are 8 digits long, so it's still very secure), and the app, which *is* synced to airbnb, just shows the current PIN codes that will work at this moment for your guests that the lock has automatically generated. I could be totally making that up but its the only thing that makes sense to me given that the lock itself doesn't connect to anything except bluetooth.Anyway - it seems to work really well. I have had to modify my automatic messaging in airbnb to explain to people that the email with their PIN is not spam, and I also include a better explanation of how to open the lock, because the email doesn't really explain it well. Ultimately if someone just can't get it to work I can give them the master PIN code.Using the app is generally easy but there are a few kinks, nothing I couldn't get past however.

DO NOT purchase - Zero Stars!
Update Part 3:I got the first version of this Keybox, and it simply didn't work, and the company sent me a new Keybox 2.Well it's just as bad as the first version. This is made for indoor use only. I had it outside in VT under a cover and it still didn't work. opened it up - Full of water. At temps below 0F it won't open. This product is made for the desert, southern California or the Sahara. (Dry is key)I went back to the old mechanical lock - works all the time; Wet, Cold, Ice, Snow, Hot, Cold, Etc.Save your money and go old school. This product needs a lot of work to handle the elements.======================================================================Update: Wish I could give Zero stars.Igloohome support said they'll give me a new one, and sent me a return label to send back to their company.I sent it back, and FedEx verified the shipment. But Igloohome support has gone silent, and no responses to my inquiry of the returned lock, my replacement, or refund.Basically I shelled out $179 to Igloohome via Amazon.com and have no product to show for it.People, DO NOT BUY from Igloohome!!!!-----------This gets one star because of the concept of a Smart Keybox - Neat technology. It was one month old, and brand new batteries. Tested it multiple times to make sure it was working 100%.I have one on my vacation home, and came up to find the unit dead - no lights or sounds.Per the manual I tried to jump start the unit with a 9V battery, no luck. The unit is 100% dead. I can't open the unit. The MAJOR flaw is I can't take it off my house. Access to the screws are on the inside of the unit. I'm going to have to hire a locksmith or contractor to come and remove the unit from the side of the house and repair any damage from the removal process.I sent a note to Igloo's support people and no response. My advice: Go with an old school mechanical locking device or simply hide a key.Waste of time and money.

I use this for my Airbnb and love this product
I use this for my Airbnb and love this product, easy to use and an efficient way to generate new codes for each new guest. However, please note that this is not waterproof. It rained for 2 days in SoCal and water got into the device and battery. Unfortunately, now I have to find a new lockbox.
