Cooking with Doug Cookbook: A Comprehensive Guide to Cooking with Waterless, Grease-less Cookware

More of a pamphlet than a cookbook. Pages not numbered, not indexed, some recipes not cooked food (salads). Cover states book is a comprehensive guide to cooking with waterless, greaseless cookware. Book has some tasty, innovative recipes but it is far from being comprehensive. One might fare better by searching for waterless cookware recipes on line than spending money on this book.

There is little basic information but there are also some good recipes that I will definitely try out.

Book is ok for the inexpensive price. However--too many "stew-like" recipes for which we do not need waterless/greaseless cookware.

Waste of money

I bought pricey cookware to eat healthier, however it takes time to learn the best methods for certain dishes. I love the easy to follow directions in Doug's recipies, the flavor and nutrition stay in the food, and when I follow your method I don't burn as much food. Love it, looking forward to the second edition.

I had great expectations for this book. The reason for the one star review is that it claims to be "a comprehensive guide to cooking with waterless, grease-less Cookware." What it really is, is a bunch of boring, everyday family recipes with instructions for cooking with an electric oil core pan. Nothing was appetizing enough that would even cause me to buy one. My cookware is not electric, so I can't even use the instructions which describe for example, " cook until the pan clicks or whistles", or "cook at 350 degrees", or "425 degrees"

Doug has done a very good job with some good tips for using the waterless cooking pots & pans that I have.

I really did not think it was worth hat I paid for it. In fact, I was disappointed. So few receipes an none that I even wanted to use I guess live and learn about things we see on the computer thinking it is just what we're looking for. I've about learned my lesson.
