GE Big Button Universal Remote Control for Samsung, Vizio, Lg, Sony, Roku

This remote came with a LOT of supported devices and how to program the remote for the various devices, but I thought - TRY IT and VOILA straight out of the packaging, once I had added my own 2 AA batteries, the remote worked instantaneously with my TVs! EASY PEASY! Now I have two of these remotes. I have two TVs, a Samsung 2023 and a Samsung 2024. The remote is very lightweight, in fact adding the batteries almost doubles the weight, it is that light. The buttons are raised nicely, so I might even let my weak, essential tremor in arm/hand mom use this, since she has killed some buttons in our other, older remotes (which is why I needed some replacements). These buttons do not light up, so the remote's 2 AA batteries should last a long time. I love that it uses normal batteries, as when it runs out it is nice to have compatible batteries on hand. If you have the factory provided remote that is supplied by Samsung, which is an evil to use device, this remote does lack some of those custom other buttons, but those aren't things we/I regularly use anyhow. It is nice that something works just as expected! Simple is wonderful! I love this!! I recently purchased this remote control for the express purpose of replacing an LG remote for the television set and a Spectrum remote for the cable box . Rather than wrestling with these two controls, this little GE was programmed in about a minute and a half and takes over almost all of the simple functions of both of the other controls with ease . My 94-year-old Mom loves the thing. There’s nothing more to say. 👍🏼

Bought this for my very elderly grandmother. the frontier remote has 1000 teeny tiny buttons and she could not manage it. tore it out of the box and programmed it (make sure you have 2 double A's - since they are not provided) relatively easy. print is super small on the paper but there are a lot of codes . Only issue we had it that you have to select the device in order to power everything on and then select the cbl box in order to change channels. seems like a simple issues for those of us used to technology but when dealing with folks born before WW2 the need to switch back and forth is tough to manage. a nice feature is that you can enable universal volume so that even when CBL is selected, the TV volume will be adjusted with the control. ONLY IF THE CBL DEVICE IS ACTIVE!!! I get it, you probably get it but my grandma is struggling. Just FYI - device works good, easily programmed and the big buttons are a help. just wish we could somehow make it work easier for her.

Simple

remote medium size with big buttons and ez to use ....very simple buttons but the only draw back that i have is the bottom is NOT FLAT it is sort of a bubble round shape, which works great in your hand BUT if it on the coffee table laying down you have to pick it up to push any button if you try to push the buttons on the table it pushes the whole remote off kilter and you cant push the buttons (ANY) it just flips the remote sideways. other wise works great ...

I have a T.V. I have had for years, and because I can't sleep in an all dark room I like to watch black and white television program, old classics like George Burn and Gracie Allen. However my Television had a sleep timer so it would shut off and not wake me in the middle of the night. I used the remote for years and the timer button was shot. I ordered other replacement that advertised sleep timers and when I got it they didn't have that feature, long story short the seller gave me some run around about the remote was not being made again. what ever I sent it back. This wasn't the first time, I was ready to buy a new T.V. Then I saw this remote on Amazon and thought it's so inexpensive it problem wont work. SHOCK ! I was so happy it took a little time setting the code in but the sleeper works perfectly. So if your looking for a sleeper timer for your old T.V. This is it. Love it.

excellent control for senior citizens. my mom, step dad and neighbor in his 90's would accidentally mess up their programmable remote by pressing the wrong button. with the last programmable remote, the tv button was next to the power button. when the tv button was held, it messed up everything. with this remote, the option to program it is far away from commonly used buttons. it has been over a year and nobody accidentally messed up this remote. also the very large buttons at the top are perfect. all they need is to change channels and volume.

This is a nifty little universal remote that takes just about any modern TV. My only complaints are that programming it is a little convoluted, and the programming directory with the codes is in tiny print. Also, I think it's a little strange that anytime you want to turn on or control the TV or cable, you have to press the TV or CBL buttons first for either device. That seems a little unnecessary. The remote should be able to handle both, turning on/off both devices simultaneously, and have enough logic to know that the volume should be for the TV and channel for the cable/streaming box. That you have to press the device ahead of any function, is a little strange. Still, it gets the job done, and works with just about any TV and cable box I can think of.

Lo compre para mi madre de 90+ años, le molestan los controles nuevos que tienen tanto boton para diferentes plataformas. Este esta perfecto, solo numeros, subir y bajar canal/volumen, regresar, y mute. Perfecto!!! Facil de configurar, el primer codigo basto de mi modelo de TV. Estaria genial que por el precio incluyera las baterias, pero eso es otro tema.

Works great with our blue ray

I got this for my elderly father-in-law. He was having trouble with the original remote on his Hisense TV. It has a lot of extraneous buttons for Netflix and YouTube and things that he just doesn't use. He was inadvertently pushing them and then couldn't understand why the TV was doing what he wanted to do. It is simple to get back to the home screen but not for him. This remote is very basic and simple. The buttons are big and easy to press and it doesn't have the extraneous buttons mentioned above. It works very well for him. The problems that he was having with the TV being on the wrong settings just don't occur anymore. He was convinced that the problem was the TV. He wanted to buy a new TV, such was his level of frustration. I was sure a new TV wouldn't have fixed it anyway. This has made an old man very happy.

Super easy to connect. Works great. Big volume and channel buttons. Great remote so far.

Simple remote seems to worm well, I got it for my Dad, just remember it will only pair with two devices
