Still The Best Smartphone!
This is the Best Smartphone on the Market. If you ignore the stigma with Blackberrys and just take a look at what this phone offers you, I struggle to see a better phone on the market. All my friends keep saying I am stubborn for still using a blackberry. I told them I am technical when it comes to phones and I am not an apple die hard fan that would buy anything apple even if they came out with itoilet or iflush. Apple fans will buy it, because you can now flush your toilet from your phone. I agree that the traditional blackberrys have an issue. The ones with the blackberry Operating System. I don't like 'those' blackberrys' but the Priv is the Perfect phone! 4 reasons why it is better than apple and samsung 1. It has the security of a blackberry and also has the android operating system. 2. In addition it has the traditional qwerty keyboard and also a digital keyboard. so what more can you ask for? 3.The most important feature of this phone is that it hardly breaks! All my friends with samsung and apple phones keep complaining about the screen cracking e.t.c This is a solid phone especially if you buy the outer shell casing. Unless you actually get a hammer and smash the phone this phone is indestructible. 4. because you have the qwerty keyboard, you can use the whole screen to view whatever you want while you type on the slide out keyboard. This is perfect for attachments, whatsapp, facebook. Unlike the other phones the digital keyboard takes up 30% of the screen. This dosent! You have the whole screen to view the content and type at the same time/ NO OTHER PHONE DOES THIS! This is an issue with all smartphones including this one. Be careful about the power socket. This is one area they can improve on. If you keep twisting the power cable to ensure your phone is on charge at some point in the future maybe 2 years, the internal socket may get disconnected from the motherboard. Don't twist and twist the cable to get a charge signal. rather get a proper charger that works with your phone. This is the same for any smart phone not just this one. I have all phones. andriod, apple and this phone and in my opinion the blackberry priv is the best. I am being objective and clear. This is one one of the reasons i think the brand should not be Priv. This is a typical Blackberry name where those at blackberry are thinking like engineers and not like creative marketers! this is where I think blackberry falls short. Why make a fantastic phone and call it Priv? For those techy people like myself I know it means privacy and to do with their security, but the general public wont get it. just use another name. I don't know something like. Blackberry SClass. Or Blackberry Nova. Or dont use blackberry at all, just call it something like SuperNova and then in small print by blackberry. Or maybe another name like 'Boss'. Start a new phone series and call it Boss. I am thinking and typing here. But something else not 'PRIV'! . Think about it you want to compete with Iphone, S7 then you have Priv? err does not sound right, Maybe iphone, S7, Boss (by blackberry) or Blackberry S Class. I am not blinded by the marketing of apple and samsung as I have all three and this is the best phone! I think I need to apply to the marketing department of blackberry and just come in with fresh eyes and tell them how to appeal more to general phone users like myself. And remember I have all three phones. If you are an apple fan with imac, ipad. then it is difficult to swtich, because you have seamless integration on all devices if that is your thing. If not, this is the phone for you. Samsung is just the same thing as the priv, but the priv is better. If I had to rate them. I would say iphone is like a VW Golf (easy to drive and the most sold car), Samsung is like a wannabe BMW(tries to be stylish but has some cool features) and a Priv is like a Mercedes S class(solid, absolute presitige with good security). The only different is that Mercedes do a better job at marketing their product!

Quaity phone, great security, excellent screen.
This is for Blackberry Priv It arrived one day early and out the box I felt it was Good quality and easy to set up, It is not as Blackberries of old but I think it is a good compromise and Blackberry have done a great job with this phone. I am not that technically experienced with android and this is my first phone using it.... I am just in the first couple of days so this is a quick first impression review. 1/ well packaged 2/ Phone feels of a quality build, 3/ It was straight forward to set up, I just followed the prompts and read the guides (loads of online tips "Crackberry forum") 4/ The set up included update to Android 6.1 and app updates No issues took about 10min's 5/ Came with just a few generic android apps and some good Blackberry apps so not overloaded with clutter . 6/ I so far have not experienced any heat issues, even when charging and updating at the same time (this was sorted with software updates) 7/ the Keyboard is becoming a joy to use now I'm getting the hang of it, in particular the tracking function. and the slid out is of a nice solid quality. and I haven't got particularly small fingers! 8/ I Like the BB Hub feature, the BB security, 9/ the screen is excellent, beautiful colours, the curved edges add to the aesthetics and offer a practical use. 10/ Camera seams good I'm happy. I will update after a couple of months use

Finally a perfect phone
Ever since seeing an article about BlackBerry Priv in a magazine, I knew I had to get it. I am not at all fond of the on-screen keyboards, so seeing an Android phone with a proper keyboard was like a dream come true. Got it a couple of days ago and spent the weekend playing around with it and so far very happy with everything. First of all, the keyboard. Though the keys are small, I find it very easy to use and make less typos than on Nokia E7 which has bigger keys. The keyboard has a backlight, so typing in the dark is not a problem. An unexpected bonus is that is also doubles up as a trackpad, so you can use it to scroll up, down and to the side without touching the screen, which I really like. The screen is gorgeous - the curved shape is beautiful and the colours are vivid. It's massive as well, and since the keyboard no longer needs to take up half of it, you can see even more. Blackberry DTEK measures the security level of the phone and gives you advice on how you can improve it, giving me peace of mind that my data is protected. The camera is very user-friendly - apart from tapping the screen to take a photo, you can also use the space bar on the keyboard as well as the volume buttons on the side of the phone. As for the battery life, I have disable notifications for most apps, switched on the battery saver and so far got through two nights and a day and a half on a single charge and there's 30% still left. That is with lots of browsing, taking pictures and updating about 20 apps, which it decided to prompt me to do on the second day. I do switch off data and WiFi when I'm not using it though. Cons? I am yet to find one...
