Based on the critically acclaimed book "The True Meaning of Smekday" by Adam Rex. In "Home" an alien race invades Earth and uses it as a hideout from their mortal enemy. When one lowly alien accidentally notifies the enemies of his whereabouts, he is forced to go on the run with a teenage girl. The two become unlikely buddies and embark on a comical globe-trotting adventure to right his wrongs, in which our alien hero learns what it really means to be human. Since owning the film we've watched it quite a few times already since we've had it. Whilst Home will never win best animation or sophisticated film of the year it's enjoyable and undemanding viewing for all, so you can save yourself for "The Shawshank Redemption" if you want something with far more meat on it.

A great family film...
Home is a great kids film and I think the adults in this house enjoyed it more than the kids. Unlike some films all the funny stuff in the trailers \ adverts is actually in the film, which makes a nice change. Since owning the film we've watched it quite a few times already since we've had it. Its basically Sheldonopolis
This film doesnt get great reviews, and perhaps thats fair enough. Its nothing super special or different. However Oh is a very likeable main character, and is basically Jim Parsons giving us all the good stuff that was Sheldon Cooper, so whats not to love there? The supporting cast is good and engaging although I think Rihanna can be a bit ott in places. Overall its stands up to repeated child-viewing without the adults wanting to throws things at the screen, So thats a win win, I'd say.

Good film for parents and kids
Would recommend this film for parents and kids, it’s funny, exciting and sad but all in all it’s a good film for a family movie night

Kids and wife love it !
One of the very few animated films for the whole family that even me being a dad I kinda got into . After pressure from the wife to watch with the little one . But man enough to admit in the end I actually thought the film was great and overall would definitely reccommend / watch again .

Very entertaining
I definitely got my money's worth from this purchase. The kids have got it on almost everyday. It's funny, emotional and has a happy ending. Happy kids, happy life!

Perfect, no matter what age you are.
Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon) could read the phone book and make it the most entertaining thing you've ever heard. He's perfectly cast in this as a loveable alien on the run with a teenager (Rihanna) after an alien invasion. The jokes never get old no matter what age or how many times you watch it. The soundtrack with it's stars Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez plus Charlie XCX just adds to it. I think it's the best animated movie I've ever seen.
