Anker have become a reliable brand in most ventures they are involved with these days, whether they are speakers, PC peripherals or power banks. I have a tonne of peripherals connected to my home laptop (which has limited USB ports) so this extension allows me to place another four. It is a simple plug and play device with incredible ease of use. Just plug it into one of the USB ports and then add the peripherals to the four new USB plugs at your disposal. The build quality is great and Anker have done well to give it a little bit of a funky design with some blue highlighting. There are no light indicators to determine that it is working, but in all honesty these are not needed. The cable for connecting to the PC is quite short, which is actually more of a blessing rather than a curse as the port stays very close to the laptop. I need more wiring in the same way that I need more facial spots before a hot date. The port is well made, subtle and has decent build quality - most importantly is works well and connectivity to your peripherals works as it should. Great product at a reasonable price.

Very reliable USB 3.0 hub with stable connections and good build quality. Works great for projects using multiple ESP boards, USB serial devices, and Raspberry Pi setups. Everything runs smoothly without random disconnects or communication problems. One important thing for beginners: if you connect several ESP boards, displays, or other power-hungry devices, do not expect the Raspberry Pi USB ports alone to provide unlimited power. Data communication works perfectly, but heavier setups should use their own proper power supply instead of relying entirely on Pi USB power. Used correctly, this hub is excellent for robotics and electronics work.

There are cheaper USB hubs on the market however I always like to purchase from known brands when using anything to provide power to any devices. In my use case, I am using this at work to power several items, notably a Raspberry PI, Amazon Echo, and two Lightning Cables to charge instore devices. It is receiving constant power so it is important it is safe and reliable to be left on whilst nobody is present. The design is nice and sleek. The finish of the product is smooth and ergonomic and the quality is very good. The cable length is more than adequate and can of course be extended easily enough with an extension cable if necessary. In my instance, this is fixed to a frame in a permanent setting however if you were travelling with a device and needed a portable USB hub this would be more than sufficient for your needs. It is lightweight and takes up no space at all so would easily fit in a laptop bag or a pocket with little to no impact. The device has no mounting points. In most instances I suspect this would not be an issue but would be handy if it came with some way to mount to a desk or surface. In my permanent setting I popped the rear cover off and used two slim profile screws to attach to a frame after using a countersink to provide seating. After covering the screw heads with electrical tape I was able to pop the body of the device back onto the cover which I had screwed on allowing the unit to be permanently fixed. Although this is not ideal it suits my needs. Due to the slim profile there is little space within however the slim profile screws do not affect the functionality or contact the main board. The electrical tape is simply to remove any risk there is a risk of shorting out. Obviously, this would void any warranty on the device.

Happy with this 4-port hub. Seems well made, looks good, and so far is working as it should. Arrived promptly., no complaints.

So, I built my lad's PC and still we manage to run out of USB ports - how did I manage that?? I needed a USB hub to transform a single USB 3 port into 4 ports and Anker is the brand I turn to for anything like this. The first thing that strikes you about this is just how small it is. Gone are the days of the big clunky ports requiring a power supply and a sizeable portion of desk space! It is slim, lightweight and just plugs into a USB port. Tip. If possible, plug into a USB 3 port (that is usually the one that is blue inside) as you will get the fastest speeds that way. USB 3 will handle multiple connections at the same time with no issues at all. Practical warning. This is a hub that does not have its own separate power supply, so please don't expect it to charge anything like your phone. It is to be used for USB sticks and devices like keyboards, mice, webcams etc. If you use it for that, it works beautifully and is small enough to place it wherever you find convenient. One gripe, and it is just a minor one. The cable to connect to the PC (USB port) is quite short at around 2ft (or 60cm) and is integrated to the hub. Of course, if you need longer, just use a USB extension cable (yes, you can get them). Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, it will also work with your Apple devices (if they have a USB port). Ne ho comprati diversi per il mio PC e anche per altri dispositivi in casa e ufficio. Questo hub Anker è davvero ben fatto: piccolo, leggero ma stabile e affidabile. Il cavo da 61 cm è comodo per adattarsi a qualsiasi configurazione, e le 4 porte USB 3.0 funzionano perfettamente anche con chiavette, tastiere, hard disk esterni e lettori di schede. La velocità di trasferimento è ottima, e non ho mai riscontrato problemi di compatibilità o rallentamenti, nemmeno con più periferiche collegate contemporaneamente. L’hub è anche bello da vedere, con un design minimal ed elegante che si abbina bene a Macbook, desktop o laptop. Il fatto che sia plug & play lo rende praticissimo: lo colleghi e funziona, senza bisogno di driver o configurazioni. Per il prezzo pagato è un accessorio indispensabile, e considerando che è Anker, la qualità si sente tutta.

De momento ha funcionado sin problemas. Lo utilizo para poder tener el portátil elevado y conectar el teclado, el ratón y una tarjeta de sonido externa con solo un USB. Incluso sin ser alimentado, no da problemas de alimentación. El único problema que tuve fue a la hora de actualizar el firmware de la tarjeta de sonido, que tuve que conectarla directamente al portátil, ya que si no daba error, pero esto pasa con prácticamente con todos los hub USB, no creo que sea algo específico de este modelo. En general estoy contento con la compra, es muy pequeño, pesa muy muy poco y el cable es de una longitud perfecta si quieres tener el portátil elevado 10-15 cm para evitar problemas de espalda y cuello. El cable parece que va a durar, y pesando tan poco y siendo tan pequeño, ni se nota si te lo tienes que llevar en la mochila. Estoy contento con el producto y lo recomiendo, de hecho es posible que compre otro para llevarlo siempre en la mochila del portátil y poder dejar el que tengo en el escritorio de casa.
