Allocacoc PowerCube Extended Power Socket UK -1.5 Metre (Non-USB) - Red/White

Just received the red/white allocacoc POWER CUBE. Thank you to all who answered my query yesterday as to whether it was 13 amp. I am so glad I ordered two. As you all said it is 13 amp with a changeable fuse and is 2990W (grounded). It is so beautifully packaged and designed. Such a lovely quality indeed. The red/white version has (would you believe!) FIVE sockets on five of its sides so any size of plug has no problem fitting into the cube. There is a nice robust power cable with white moulding from the centre of one side with a very high quality moulded plug on the end. I see that it was designed by two graduates of industrial product design from Delft (the Netherlands) who noticed the frustrations many people have with one of the world's most common products - the extension cord. It is never within reach or outlets are blocked because of bulky plugs. They thought this could be improved so that extension cords should not be hidden out of sight. I must say it is a very clever design and very nice to look at. it also has a two year warranty. This is the real PowerCube, but as it becomes more popular as we all know there will be fakes appearing on the market. It says on the outer packaging that the Power Cube is a reddot award 2014 winner! I am not surprised. It will be interesting to see what else allocacoc design in the future. I am more than delighted with my PowerCube, and will be ordering the 3 meter one.

Just what I needed, a 13 amp extension I could take with me and easily attach to the side of my desk when at home; it's certainly more convenient than a 13 amp strip. Mine, the new RED one (no USB) has 5x13 amp sockets available when used without the desk attachment.My only small disappointment is that there was only one desk attachment in the box (I wasn't expecting more but it would be better if there were two for attachment elsewhere); can they be purchased separately?Very well made unit .

Pros:- it is compact-long enough extension lead- all sockets available when not attached as mentioned in details.- nice (and different) design to the usual ‘long face’ extension leads available.Cons:- the wall attachment needed ‘thinking through’ as you loose one socket.The pros on this item outweighs the cons. It is suitable when living in a house or flat where plug sockets are rare or a distance away from where you require them to be.

Really well constructed bit of kit, with the only downside being that if you use the table attachment you loose one fo the AC points. As it is i have it sticking through a work tables cable tidy port and it sits on top of that well so I get access to all 5 outlets. Good value, and an efficient design to get 5 additional outlets running in a small form factor

A great idea, looks better than an extension lead and you can stick it to a wall without it marking it when you remove it!Stress tested it with an Xbox one S, a 22inch TV and two phones on charge. No noises and no shortage in power. Great product

Prompt delivery and it was half the price of others, maybe because it is red but that suits my kitchen. Makes a compact and versutile extension adapter which can be suspended or fixed to a surface with fittiings supplied. Well thought out design .

Very well designed extension socket. It's designed in such a way that the cables from the plugs in it will go on different directions so they don't foul each other.There is an option to mount it under a desk, however the included bracket uses one if the sockets to clip into, therefore one of them will be unusable.
