This is the book reloaders should add to the collection
This book is much more than I expected it to be . I have been reloading for almost 50 years and this book has added so much more information then other books I could not believed it. It is a short cut when working up loads.

Great resource
If you read Handloader Magazine then you should already be familiar with the Propellant Profiles articles. This is a collection of those article covering the various brands of pistol, rifle and shotgun reloading propellants that were and are available. The articles cover how the propellants work and gives reloading data for the various cartridges they were designed for, it is a great resource for anyone interested in reloading.

This should be used as a supplement book
This is not a reloading manual and should not be treated or viewed as one, it is a good source of what and how many powders should be used for, it covers a little bit everything that one or even several manuels may not offer, if you load only a few cartridges or do so occasionally this may not be a good dollar value, however if you are just starting to reload this will be a great help towards getting a good understand of ones new hobby, as well it is a great book to have on hand if you load many different firearms or looking for a good source of material if one has a large supply of one certain type of powder it will give a good understanding on what and how that powder should be used,

Great Resource for exactly what it covers
It has lots of historical and analytical information about propellants- new and old: what it is NOT is a load book - although the author mentions ranges pertaining to several calibers during the book.More use for overview but enjoyable.

Back from being "out of print"
I have been wanting a copy of this for years; however, it was out of print, and anybody selling wanted an outrageous price for used volumes.. Good synopses of virtually all current powders, like composition and form (double/single; ball, flake, stick)... also history of development and optimal uses Well, its back in print again!.. Hurry to get yours so you to can have a collector's item when that day comes and it is again out of print!
