FOBO Tire (Black)

This review is for the service regarding the product details not the product itself. I drive a van and need the PLUS version of FOBO Tyre (not limited to 50 psi). Despite the small print on Amazon saying it was up to 87psi, it wasn't. Thus I am returning the product.

If you're going to buy a retro-fit pressure monitoring system, this is the best and safest. There is a serious safety problem with other systems (or, at least, the one I bought), which FOBO doesn't suffer from. The problem I've experienced with the other type of system, with a plug-in or battery display inside the car, is that if one or more of the sensors fails (which they do) the display continues to show the last pressure reading it received, even when the sensor is removed from the tyre! I've had tyres at dangerously low pressure which the other type of system was telling me were fine, because the sensor had failed in this way. This isn't a problem with FOBO because the app (which is used instead of an in-car display) shows you the time of the last pressure reading (and greys out if the reading is not a current one) - so you would know instantly from the display if the sensor had failed. For that reason alone I threw away the other (cheaper!) system I'd bought as being downright dangerous and installed FOBO instead on three cars, where it has performed faultlessly. Whichever car I get into, I automatically get an instant alert if there's a problem and I can always check for reassurance in real-time that the readings are up to date. Much safer.

Setup didn’t work on sensors while attempting to have it on Audi Q3 tires.

I use the FOBO system on my Mazda Miata as well as on my Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. I have had unequivocal success with it in both applications. It gives you real-time accurate pressure readings (and tire temperature too!) to an app on your Smartphone. If there is a loss of pressure outside of preset parameters it will give you a real-time alarm. I have found this to be a very good system and it is very important to me to be able to monitor tire pressure for reasons of safety and practicality.I wish all vehicles came with TPMS monitor systems rather than just warning lights. Until that day, I will use the FOBO system. RJB.

Awsm product

Although product worked great with my older iphone 8 I have had nothing but problems with their app/device on my new Iphone 10. In following instructions from their web site and a youtube link company emailed me the unit fails to connect with my phone's bluetooth. In addition, when seeking out help my answers really didn't address my problem. Instead they asked for a screen shot? Then they sent me a link on basic installation which doesn't address bluetooth syncing issues. Now the product is useless to me. Please investigate other products and do not purchase the fobo.

Whats Bad:-it cost me an iPhone 6 plus screen , .... since the iPhone is a so slippery device ,I dropped it while adjusting pressure and broke the screen evantually the phone itself ,...The app is not always running in the background especially after a restart + some phone saving power features do close it also , this means that you do not get alerts in those situations, I guess the idea of having the phone working as a display device for the sensors is not practical .I upgraded from (Tyredog ) system to Fobo but I'm not very happy with the Fobo .also sensors are twice the size of regular TPMS sensors .Whats Goodthe system does work good if app is running , I changed from iPhone to android , its cheaper if the fall .Final :I would prefer a normal system with its own display not the phone
