Big Boy Structural Hole Filler 250ml

Absolutely fantastic stuff. Saved me over £1000 in car body repairs!!! Never used it before and no idea on car repairs, used common sense and just gave it a go!! It is difficult to apply when you have to get the application near perfect first time because the stuff is sticky and like a thick batter paste, and the stuff sets solid in under 15 minutes but the stuff is amazing and did a fantastic repair on our wheel arch which had rusted and flaked off in places. I used hammerite rust treatment first to remove any remaining rust and then used this and the car looks so good that other people said “you can do mine”. Would highly recommend wearing disposable gloves and a face mask & goggles because it’s strong smelling stuff, but i will definitely be buying more and using it again.

So the first great thing is that you get so much more product than expected. It's easy to use and mix up. You have to be quick with the application as it can dry quickly, so mic up smaller amounts at a time. It dries quickly and as it starts to dry you can see the fiberglass in the product, it is extremely sticky, but can be gotten off of your skin with WD40. Once dry, It's solid. It can be used on a range of materials and for many different purposes like caravan floor, car body etc. Its great value for money for the size of the product.

I used this to fill a large hole in the bottom of a stone/concrete bird bath. I have tried different ways to fix it in the past and had almost given up. This product has worked wonders. I filled the bird bath last night (only a couple of hours after applying the product) and it's still full of water today. The product could be improve by having a clear tube as there is no real way of estimating how much you are adding, but my guesstimate seems to have worked well, so not a big deal really.

I was very pleased with this product. Mixed it in a small takeaway container and applied with plastic applicator provided. I layered on quite thick and sanded with an electric sander after about 20mins on a dull damp day. Applied a second thin coat to cover finer imperfections and it sanded back to a smooth finish. Having never used this type of product, it was so easy and intuitive. Great finish, ready to paint. 👍👌

Only had a small hole to fill but mixed big boy as instructed,mixed in plastic top of tin ,think I should have got something bigger, quite easy to mix not sure I mixed it evenly hadn't been doing repair job long I tried to get some more big boy onto the spaturer but found it had already gone quite hard,I did just managed to do the job , also when taking the harden big boy from the plastic top it was very hot I left it on the draining board to cool down,has anyone else had this experience

Used to fill the rim on my van, found it very easy to use, sets hard (used in 15degree weather so as not to set to fast and allow malleability until I was finished). You only need a small amount of hardener. I divided the mixture into 4 and only took out 1/4, mix with hardener and apply, repeat process until done. Sets solids (left it two days) then sanded back with some sand paper. Make sure you wear gloves and a mask (I actually used two masks) very strong smelling and you don’t want to breathe this stuff in or get it on your skin. Happy with results for first time using anything like this, good value, great adhesion. Would definitely use again
