Really impressed
Yes this is my only experience of a usb audio interface but to my semi trained ears, it sounds great and does everything I want it to. Zero excess noise, super easy to set up and use and gives a lovely clean and consistent signal.

Great for price but not a good enough gain output for a Rode Podmic!
Its a great little guy. Great for the price however it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Its made of plastic which is a slight bummer but not of any problem to me as it just sits on my desk. The knobs feel good and are precise. And it is easy as pie to set up literally plug and play in my experience. I play guitar abit and never had a easy way to connect it to my pc however the UM2 has a 1/4" port which means you can plug a electric guitar or keyboard or anything that uses a 1/4" jack which is awesome and makes it a good cheap all rounder. However it has a high noise floor which means no cranking the gain too 100 also because of this powering a high power mic the the SM7B or Podmic is impossible almost (although I have managed it with my Podmic but I had to up the gain in software as it was too quiet otherwise or too noisy if I upped the gain on the interface. So in short if you want a cheap interface for a easy to run xlr mic then this is great for you however if you want it for a gain hungry mic like the SM7B or Podmic then either get a better one or get a gain booster like a cheaper cloud lifter.

Very pleased but took time and help from YouTube to get set up and working .
Being new to playing an electric instrument I found setting up all of the required equipment very difficult. Once it was working I needed this to play on line through my laptop. I found the instructions difficult to get it working and did not notice that it needs you to get a driver from the manufacturers web site. After doing this it did not work reliably with Windows 11 . I found several YouTube videos about it and one recommended getting an alternative driver from the manufacturers website that is better suited to this model. Now it is working perfectly every time . I am very pleased with it. The sound quality is as good as the on line lessons I am following with it. It now seems simple as I just switch everything on and it works when I log on. Great value for money once its set up.

Good little bit of kit for recording guitar and vocals
I'm using this audio interface to record my guitar playing and vocals..it works well in line 1 with the Beringer micromix connecting the guitar and pedal chain in to micromix channel 1 the microphone into micromix channel 2 my bass guitar into micromix channel 3 and the Yamaha keyboard in micromix channel 4 .. the guitar and pedal chain incudes a looper pedal .. I bought it to be able to play then listen back to analyse my personal progress as a musician I play through the um2 into a Windows 10 laptop with the free audacity software as a basic digital audio workstation .. I connect with the guitar cable straight into the mic line 1 input as I don't have an XLR cable for the microphone.. for some reason plugging the microphone directly into line 1 and the strat direct to the instrument socket it doesn't record the guitar.. maybe it's because I'm connected to line 1 with the 6.3 mm guitar style Jack rather than the XLR although for the price I have a way to do exactly what I wanted to and much more than I had hoped for.. it's very basic, saying that I did find that once I worked out how to use it and set it up properly it does help me record my music and God awful singing without changing the sound so I'm happy with it edit... after several weeks using the UM2 I'm figuring out the intricacies of the device a little more and have found it even more useful than I had anticipated.. using a wireless guitar system the small amount of interference I was getting is now no longer an issue so I have changed my four star 🌟 rating to five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I'm so glad I bought this and my guitar playing is improving rapidly unfortunately my singing is just as awful as ever but that has more to do with my voice than this device 🎸🎤😁

Great interface, simple and good quality
I bought one when my ART USB Dual Pre Mic Preamp (£100) started giving problems registering itself when plugged in on windows 10. I have used Behringer equipment before and find it very good and at reasonable prices. This UM-2 is no exception. It comes out of the box with a USB cable which it takes its power from. Plug it in, no problems being recognised in win 10. I use it for ZOOM/Skype/Teams meetings with external mic and another input from a mixer desk for additional mic inputs from my drum kit during lessons. It has phantom power so you can use condenser mics. There is no detectable sound delay (latency) noticed and is excellent in use. It has proved to be so simple and reliable for all my uses, I bought another one and have retired my ART Duo. I would highly recommend this UM-2. Good quality and great value for money.

Recommend strongly even with its few fiddly flaws
So I've used this for a couple of months since buying it and I've since upgraded to the UMC404 which has more capabilities. This is no slight on this unit, however. I bought so I could record both instruments and vocals together. Essentially this is the lowest priced model to allow exactly that. On the front it has one XLR for microphone, and one 1/4 jack for an instrument (piano, guitar, ukulele), an headphone jack. On the top you will see the controls for the gain. On the rear some simple outputs. Things to note from my use that may help others: - The headphone jack is 1/4inch so you will need an adapter for standard 3.5mm headphones (6.35mm Male - 3.5mm Female) jack adapters, fairly cheap. I have 1/4" headphones so didn't affect me, but trying to help others out buying this - The instrument jack is just that. No second XLR mic can be added without again another adapter (1/4inch 6.35mm Male to XLR Female shown in pics). - There is no usb ports (I didn't need those anyway) so no, you cannot use a USB microphone with this setup - The gain knobs have no markers on the body (see pics), only a little notch, so setting gain is trial and error to an extent. Positives, however, are as follows: - Price, clearly great value for money and very sturdy plastic shell that hasn't been damaged - Size, it's so small it fits anywhere. I used it on piano stand for those recordings. - Ease of use, it just connected right away on my Apple MacBook Air, correctly locating it as UMC202 and showing the right number of inputs (1&2) in GarageBand. No drivers, no waiting. - Sound, the most important thing clearly and it was good. Not great, good. It had some slight hiss and getting gain right was a faff but I used a light noise reduction in GarageBand (25% Noise Reduction), and minor tweaks to gain in the software as well. - It came with usb lead and manual so it could be setup right away. The lead is not easy to see! Look in the size of the styrofoam inserts holding the unit in place, it is there. - It can be used with phantom power 48v, switch on rear. Overall, considering the price and what you get and this is super portable. It needs only the USB for operation and runs right off laptop even for 48v mode. It can be fiddly to get the settings right but records clear and I've been able to record an albums worth of material with it. Love the ease so much I stayed 'in brand' and got the much larger 4 XLR port version which gives me much more ability (eg two mics, a piano and a ukulele all at once). Recommended all round!

Yo hasta ahora he probado voces, guitarra acústica, española, eléctrica y ukelele.

Better than some more expensive interfaces
Prior to deciding to buy the Behringer U-Phoria, we had been struggling with the Steinberg UR22 for a few years now . With the UR22, you needed to install over 10GB of software and drivers, and the jump through hoops to get your account which is only allowed to run on a single machine, and is a lot of hassle to set up. Nothing so hard with the Behringer U-Phoria; we simply plugged it in to our PC, no software nor drivers required, the power LED lit up and we plugged our mic and headphones in - and it just works flawlessly. And better yet the sound quality from the U-Phoria is even better than the UR22. I can thoroughly recommend the Behringer U-Phoria. It's cheap, and very straight forward to use, with great sound quality. Sincerely get this product - it has made our lives so much easier and is my new favourite interface!

BEHRINGER UPHORIA UM2 - Piccola, low cost e funzionale
Doppio ingresso, XLR e jack 6,35. Spia di alimentazione power on.
