Works really good
Works well and looks awesome. I wish they made one of the whale (friendly) creature too and not just this mean one.

left propeller does not work
I got my akula recently and I had charged five alkaline AAA batterys (2 for akula, 3 for contoller) and when I attempted putting the akula in the swimming pool only one propeller worked via it swam in circles. I do not recommend this product unless you like watching something swim around in circles for forty minutes or you like being disappointed

Doesn’t work
Took forever to figure out that you have to twist the head off to install the batteries. (No instructions) Then only one motor worked. Lame! My son was so disappointed. Don’t buy this.

Stopped working after one use. Would not buy again.

Slow moving in the water
This is our first use in our pool. We also had a remote shark in the pool. The avatar ran good but was slower than the shark and was harder to control. Overall, I would chose the remote shark over this. It just doesn’t have enough power to really move good in the water.

Quit working after first use
We bought this item it worked pretty good at first. The batteries ran out extremely fast within one session of use, and now it won't turn back on.
